Lmao yes! I once told a tx that my ex used to try to convince me I had BPD. She was like, “so what signs was he using to come up with this?” I was thinking, bitch you agree!! Devastated! I told my next (seasoned) therapist and she was like, “Not right after you just had a baby!!!” I felt so seen!! I’m like, yea! Can you believe him!
@awax258529 күн бұрын
That "seasoned therapist" is just a paid friend and doesn't therapy anything ...
@mariah360029 күн бұрын
Therapist are very much like a friend. Lmao. you tell them all your deep dark secrets and spend your whole week looking forward to 1 hour with them. Difference is they are an objective 3rd party you can trust, once you find a good one! Hello McFly!

My seasoned therapist always apologises after he starts to his experience as an example “not to make this about me but” and I’m always like, no it’s fine tell me what to do!!!! 😂

The seasoned therapist is how I act as a psych nurse with my patients. It’s good to know maybe I’m doing the right thing?

Absolutely! I am sure they appreciate the realness!
@aphelioseleneАй бұрын
We definitely appreciate it, it makes us feel less like an object patient and more like a person being helped. Some people like the more sterile and strict approach but they will probably let you know if that’s the case.

Some single years are decades while others are seasons-like a summer. When you’re evolving rapidly- shedding some pain and limits-that year lifted can be a mountain.

I was seeing an EMDR specialist. She forgot who I was each time and we never got past pleasantries and basic background. After 8 visits- I found a different specialist who began treatment on appt 2.

Both of these therapists are terrible though. Was that the point?
@RattynattynatАй бұрын
How so? The new one is stiff and the seasoned one is comfortable and at ease…? What makes a therapist good to you I am wondering 💭
@KaciCallahanАй бұрын
These are all very reasonable! Therapists also need to set boundaries and expectations with their clients. If the client shows up late, they’ll have the remainder of their session left. My therapist who will very occasionally run 5 minutes behind will add an extra 5 minutes to our session. The respect goes both ways!

Tell me your parents funded your education without telling me your parents funded your education. Probably shouldn't encourage someone to follow in your footsteps if it means putting themself in multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt to do so.

I was thinking the same thing. Three intellectuals rationalizing. If it were genuinely true then this wouldn't be discussed but just happily lived. Often when people have a strong need to share unconventional things it's because they desperately need to believe it in order to be ok with their choices and misery loves company. "why am I mad, why can't I look in the mirror?" My observation is that most childless women in their 30s/40s become bitter very fast once they realize that they've missed their window for being taken seriously by men they are attracted to. They think that they've rejected societal expectations but they've done exactly what modern feminism has subconsciously programmed them to do. Fact is: When biological and evolutionary wirings go 180 degrees against (modern feministic) social constructs, problems occur and people become miserable. These girls have been played, culture isn't your friend.

@@Cas_anova Perfect summary. These ladies should dive into the male red pill community. It would be tough, but better face the truth early than live a life full of lies and suffer the pain of regret.
