Hi David, I have created a safety induction for visitors in storyline 360, at the moment i have published it to web to be hosted locally on touchscreen computer. When they have completed the induction the course go backs to the welcome screen. I want to track visitor information such as name, registration, company and also quiz results. Is it possible to track this information without needing the users to provide email addresses/being invited prior to starting the course. Maybe the depot is set up as a learner and each time a visitor completes the induction that information is tracked as a attempt in the depots profile?

Hey there and great question! So, by default, Storyline updates the variable only after the focus changes. But here’s a simple workaround: you can use a click event to toggle the Submit button on and off. Check it out here: 360.articulate.com/review/content/907ca7d2-82ed-4e84-b6e8-abad0d7ac4cc/review Now, I wouldn’t recommend using the toggle trigger I showed in the original video since it doesn’t actually save you any steps. Instead, the approach I shared in the workaround will get you most of the way there. The source file is attached if you want to check it out.

Hello David ! I'm great fan of Storyline but, you know that if you're in the software to implement content it's because scenario and storyboard are complete and checked. So, AI assistant is not really useful when you're at this step. Anyway, AI assistant is really well implemented in the software, useful to generate AI voices, sounds, pictures ...
@cbtcafe2 ай бұрын
Yeah, that's fair and I totally get that's pretty much how I see most Storyline designers working, too. But you'd be surprised at how many courses are either storyboarded and written in PowerPoint, then imported into Storyline, or built right in Storyline from scratch. These tend to be more push-based or information courses that lean on templates and style guides. Where AI really steps up is with stuff like summaries, quizzes, or even just the basic formatting like turning paragraphs into bullet points or bolding key terms.

AI Assistant can understand and generate content in any language supported by OpenAI. However, for the most accurate results, I recommend having a language expert review any translated content. For more details, you can refer to the FAQ access.articulate.com/support/article/Articulate-360-FAQs-Articulate-AI

@@cbtcafe Thanks for the non-answer. I am pretty disappointed of the evasive way in which you refer to the clearly missing language. I just started the trial, and no matter what I do, the spoken language that comes out is NOT Norwegian, it is Danish, or Swedish. I know you guys in the US hardly even know where these three countries are on a map, but even though Norway, Sweden and Denmark are neighbouring countries, each has its own distinct language. Why isn't our money worth the same as our Scandinavian brothers' and sisters' money? I would love for you guys to help me out here. Push this upwards, as soon as you can, please. Without Norwegian as a spoken language, SL360 loses a lot of power for my company - not to mention our clients.

@@bentkm Okay I spoke with the team and the mistake was all mine. I apologize for misunderstanding your question. So, if you’re on the same slide and you’re just trying to track if the learner’s clicked all the buttons or objects-whether they’re showing layers or just clicking stuff-you can totally use the ‘Visited’ state. Thanks for sharing! I’ll be taking extra care with the captions on my next video and the radio button sizing. (Sorry to bring this up, but are you aware your mic is making big booming sounds? Like 19:35 is a decent area to listen to. It’s pretty hard to listen to with headphones on. Wish I knew the fix but I don’t know your setup.)
@cbtcafe3 ай бұрын
Hey Nathaniel, thanks for the feedback. So, I’m using a Sennheiser MKH 50, and yeah, it’s got a bit more low-end than my other mics. Now, while I’m not really hearing as much low-end myself, I totally get what you’re saying. There are definitely some podcasts out there that are tough to listen to on headphones because of that. I might’ve had the mic too close that day or maybe just the positioning was off, but it’s definitely something I care about and try to avoid. I’ve been doing this for a while now, and I’ve moved away from that over-compressed, over-bassy sound that I used to go for in the early days, but yeah, it could still be there sometimes. So, I really appreciate you mentioning it because if you’re picking up on it, odds are someone else is too.
