It'd be criminal if the show that introduced Wiccan wasn't a gay plus show, Young Avengers was always queer 🖤

As a queer man in his late 50s, l found this season very emotional for me. When l was growing up, l couldn't come out to my religious parents and had to hide my true authentic self. I wish at 18 that l could have what Nick and Charlie have. Heartstopper is important to everyone who is in our community. My partner is transgender and l love them for who they are

Thank you so much for watching! I agree, Heartstopper is such an important piece of media for our Community! I love that it tackles, not only Queer issues (ex coming out, & homophobia) but also topics/struggles that effect a much larger audience! Its really amazing that the show is for everyone of all ages & identities!

Beautiful story. Glad people can be honest and more importantly, be their selves. Realizing who you are is incredibly difficult and having someone supporting a life changing decision is amazing. Be who you are. Live your life as your true self. Be happy.

This was a terrible documentary

I love the part where they did everything they could to make a scene at a Texas roadhouse restaurant just so they could get some outraged faces in this BS documentary. Trans person actually felt it was an appropriate place to give a speech about Trans rights when people just went there to eat and enjoy a peaceful evening. Guess what, nobody cares... we all have our own problems. If you want to dress up like a woman and complicate your life, dont expect sympathy from the rest of the world. Yall Treat Blaire White like complete garbage and a mortal enemy because she carries herself with grace, believes in protecting minors, and does not agree with your agenda... You dont really care about Trans people... Just Trans people that vote and think like you do.
@queerpeerreviewsАй бұрын
@ThailandDantotherescue uhhh yikes, looks like someone missed the point of this documentary ... if you actually even watched it😬 no public speeches were made at that restaurant. This was definitely a documentary about rediscovering parts of America as a Trans Woman. I mean thanks for you time and somehow bringing the topic of minors into the conversation... I guess 🙂🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈

There are so many historical fun facts related to this and the best part is that it's usually things you'd never even think to look up because there is no way it could be based on reality. A short list of examples: - Pirate civil unions called Matelotage were real (from what we can tell some were just platonic/economic, some not) - blackbeard's "heart-break flag" - he did maroon stede's crew when they had ca falling out - blackbeard personally was not known to kill - stede was one of very few pirates that actually made people walk the plank - he did pay his crew, had a library and was lounging around on deck in a robe either on blackbeard's ship or when blackbeard "took over" the revenge
@queerpeerreviewsАй бұрын
Sooo many more reasons to love this show & pirates in general! I love that the real Stede actually wore robes! 🤣

Whether you want or not, the chemistry between Sam and Dean has kept the show for so long. The first episode was broadcast and about 4 hours later the fan created the of fiction . The fans Sam/Dean founded AO3. And even though their relationship was not romantic - he was so strong - codependent. Dean sometimes had women, but he always preferred to be with Sam. Sam also. And about it the series was - two brothers .... PS - the series was not about romance.

Hi all! Fun review. I love this movie. It's my favorite comfort film. I think the two leads are perfect. I read the book also, so I have that perspective of both. I honestly don't care about the actors sexuality. I think it is what they bring to the character. That is my own personal thoughts. I know that I would 100% recommend it to others. I do agree that the Paris scene felt like I was watching something private and shouldn't be seeing that level of their intimate moment.

I remember when I first got to impel down there was this impulse reaction to see the Newkama as negative stereotypes. Big burly men with body hair wearing dresses or fishnets etc. But then after watching further and seeing what oda was doing with it it sort of strayed into "oh ok his heart is kind of in the right place I guess? He might be calling trans people weird freaks but he's also saying that there's nothing wrong with being a weird freak I guess" but then after years of rereading it and growing older and then especially after reading Wano weekly and meeting Kiku, a fully respectfully presenting trans woman, and Yamato, a trans man pre top surgery, I went back to impel down and reevaluated and realised that while the understanding might not have been nearly as mainstream at the time it was written which definitely caused its portrayal to suffer I think this whole time the Newkama were never meant to all be straight up trans women, they were always mean to be generally gender nonconforming people. They weren't being drawn with body hair to highlight the ways they don't pass, they were being drawn that way because they're NOT trying to pass. One piece is a story about freedom and what's more free about doing whatever the hell you want with your body. Who cares if she has a beard and leg hair Morley is a woman because she is a woman, ivankov can change genders whenever they please and Bon Clay can change his entire body that's true liberation.

SPN has some weirdo fans, Dean was written as a straight male and Cas never showed interest in men for most of the series. We only see Cas kiss or hook up with women. It would be like if I started writing fanfiction, I got mad at the creators of Will and Grace because I think Will is really a straight man and he should be with Grace in a romantic relationship. It gets pretty damn dumb.
@Indipendent-bite2 ай бұрын
Your line of reasoning does not make sense. The fans did not write the show, the writers wrote that ridiculous ending. Queer people have a right to call out such writing.
@BishopWalters122 ай бұрын
@@Indipendent-bite Don't fear the truth.
@WildeMermaid2 ай бұрын
The writers made too many gay jokes about Dean that they unintentionally made him appear Bi, especially to other Bi people. Also, many gay/Bi (Gay as umbrella term) date people of the opposite sex until they don't. Cas & or Dean hooking up with women prior doesn't/wouldn't negate any love they may feel for someone of the same sex/ or agender, etc. The writers 100% leaned into Bi coding Dean as the show went on. Cas was very obviously in love with Dean. Dean had basically no real love interest beyond season 6. Interpret it however you want, but don't tell others how to. If you can headcanon a clearly gay character as straight, don't be mad when the vastly under-represented minority interprets "straight" characters as queer. Last but not least, the fans didn't write the show.

@@Indipendent-bite @bishopWalters12 Right, fans don't write a show - they are writers - and Dean on the show 2x announced that he was a heterosexual. Dean was always interested only in women and porn with women. He took Cass to the brothel to enjoy a woman - I don't understand that it would be done by someone who has a love interest in the other. Cass was a friend and Dean taught him to live - Dean also supported him when Cass was supposed to have a date.
