Dr. Rattay, I understand what you are stating; however, being a humble computer scientist and mathematician, I would like a technical explanation for how that works. Assuming one has infection-induced immunity from a recent variant, how does being vaccinated with the WA.1 variant vaccines, vaccines designed to synthesize spike-protein antigens with epitopes from a recessive variant. If the concept of the adaptive immune system is to synthesize antibodies with paratopes complimentary to the epitopes of the antigen synthesized from the vaccine, how will these spike-protein antibodies bond and neutralize to spike-protein antibodies of the most recent variants, variants which have epitopes which are no longer complementary to those of the WA.1 variant? At the chemistry-level, it seems a straightforward matter of covalent and ionic bonding. At the physics-level, it seems a straight forward matter of electromagnetism. As I can see, there is no magic. The paratope-to-epitope bond is successful or it is not. Recent studies matching the WA.1 variant based vaccines against the B.4 and B.5 variant infections suggest that antibody bonding and neutralizing is failing. And what of original antigenic sin (OAS)? So why would one train their adaptive immune system for the last war? Is it not, more or less, like building the French Maginot Line in anticipation of the next war? Thanks.

Covid-19 Vaccines not working! Last Easter Robin asks me a question if I got the covid-19 vaccine I said no. Robin ask why, I said the covid-19 vaccine don’t work a simple answer. Chile, Israel, Seychelle Islands, and Singapore have the highest vaccination rates and the highest infections rates. Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana, and Senegal have the lowest vaccination rates and the lowest infection rates. Hello, I’d be interested in Dr. Rattay’s or senior staff’s opinion about the following: This week I see that for the US population of 2.7% immunocompromised, a booster shot for both Pfizer and Modena vaccines is now recommended. In the study, there was no mention of those who received the J&J vaccine? May I know the current thinking for Delaware for us immunocompromised folks and whether boosters are recommended *for all 3* vaccines? Thanks so much.
