I would say underverse is better. It is mainly sans centered, but at least Papyrus and Asgore didn't get arrested.

As someone who liked Glitchtale more than Underverse, Underverse, because i've grown to start disliking Glitchtale, especially with knowing the plot now (As big as a fan I was I didn't know a single fucking thing going on past Episode 4 or 5), and Underverse, even if I didn't really pay attention to the plot, it didn't make me go "What the fuck is going on right now?".

Zorox has been making kind of a reboot with ultratale (renamed into vital!tale), with actual focus on making a good narrative, and all the episodes so far are incredibly good! I especially like the fact that they don't focus SOLELY on Sans and they gave Doggo an absolute badass fight. You should totally check it out, it's awesome

Ranking the underverse series 1. Xtale, I really loved the writing and how it showed the prospective of the season 1 villain and why we have a new villain for season 2, It's a great way to understand what happened in season 1 and to lead us to know more about season 2 but even without underverse s1 and s2, this works extremely well as it's own stand alone series, you only need to know ink sans and undertale to understand this 2. Underverse season 1, it just feels extremely nostalgic, feels really well planned out and it has great animation for the time it came out, my only problem was the explanation for why killer exists there and also you need a lot of context on undertale au's as a whole to understand this series 3. Underverse season 2, I love this seasons art style, it just keeps improving every episode along with the fights, the choreography, and the story telling, the cameos always got me hyped but I got a few problems, the story telling is great but it is extremely dependent on context from undertale au's, xtale, and season 1(obviously) but when I went straight to season 2 after season 1 without checking out xtale I felt a little lost and the year it takes for new episodes to drop also kinda make understanding things a bit difficult but the story is great once you have all the context

So heres my opinion(not includin any legal trouble camila got inor anything like that, and solely off the series), Underverse is better because of its graphics and because it had much better character development but if glitchtale s2 didnt mess up towards the end it could have been better, how? Well first of all frisk being erased is the biggest mistake in the series since it leaves many plotholes like is S1 now uncannon and was it just like a good chara blocked the hit all the way back in s1 ep1 "megalomaniac" and shit, the next issue is that asriel didnt get enough character development, actually nearly no one but frisk papyrus and undyne did, but all 3 went to waste with frisk being erased, papyrus being irrelevant and undyne being unused in the fight against hate, but heres how it could have been fixed First of all in my opinion the whole frisk glitching due to breaking the reset was a bad idea, and when frisk got stuck against asriel he should have used the determination syringes that were used to make the amalgamations to get a power boost to beat the fear corrupted asriel Next, the duel between bete and the skele 3 should have been delayed, and asriel should have been gotten more character development and prepare for the final fight And finally after Gaster kills bete and faints, when hate finally got shown i think that was the perfect moment for papyrus to snap trying to protect gaster from hate and 1v1 the hate untill frisk and asriel would come to the rescue, also the hate character could have been way better, it was unoriginal since it was just S1 endings chara but worse and had no powers kinda like a whole ass rework for hate And thats how Glitchtale could have been saved in my opinion

Fatal Error is one of my favorite AU characters,in all the stories and ideas a wrote about undertale AUs when I was like 14 he showed up in all of them at least once,at one point I even wrote down an idea for a character concept where Fatal absorbs the code of all the characters from the Aftertale timeline,including the 2nd version of Sans,turning him into this abomination that was strong enough to take on King Multiverse (specifically the version of him that's an Asgore) I called him OFE,which stands for "Omega Fatal Error" (I was an acoustic child)

So to explain it for those who are confused,Storyshift is basically characters switching roles,but not personalities,naturally their mannerisms and behavior might be slightly different due to their environment,however the core of their character remains unchanged as opposed to underswap where US Sans is at his core Papyrus and US Undyne is at her core Alphys,technically there could be infinite iterations of Storyshift where the characters are in a variety of different roles...

So i'm not the only one who took inspiration from Delta when designing AU characters it seems,i created a character that converted his magic power into fuel for his soul to burn and convert into energy,he wasn't a skeleton,he was a boss monster and I essentially took the fire magic we see boss monsters use and turned it inward,his soul acted like a combustion engine and his magic power was the fuel his soul burned to create power,it was inspired by Delta Sans and his very physical fighting style,i always liked that Delta actually physically fought instead of just spamming magic attacks,oh and he also had a mouth beam which was basically just me stealing Delta's mouth blast attack,ever since I saw Broly fire a ki blast out his mouth i've been obsessed with characters that can do that...

I have a few statements for why Underverse is better than Glitchtale. 1. Some scenes from Glitchtale are traced. As well as Glitchtale practically having infinite plotholes. 2. Every fight in Glitchtale is just "Characters fight, character dies, main hero character in fight gets more power, main hero character wins" and then it just repeats. While Underverse actually has fights that are different from others in the series. 3. The story, you cannot tell me that you are able to understand what is happening in Glitchtale, in Underverse, you can actually understand the story/plot. 4. The animation, if you put a fight scene from Glitchtale and a fight scene from Underverse, it's obvious which one it better. Also, everyone who says Glitchtale is better just says "At least Glitchtale has more characters than just Sans." or "Glitchtale is better because I watched it first."

Underverse is better, as Glitchtale is poorly written as there's a lot of plotholes, first off, Sans. Why make him able to absorb a human soul when fighting Gaster and Chara in the megalomanic, but have him never actually do it again when fighting Chara in the final battle in season 1 or Bete, that's just being lazy. And Bete. When creating a villain there's got to be rules, like not making them too overpowered, and not having them pull BS powers out of nowhere. and stay consistent with their weaknesses, "Only determination can defeat hate" if that's the case then why would Gaster have a chance in winning, hell. Sans, Undyne, and even ASGORE has determination to actually defeat Bete but they gave Sans the Goku treatment, and crippled Asgore, making him almost die to a fireball. While Underverse stays consistent to the plot, the characters weaknesses, and the overall story. Glitchtale on paper sounds really good but the execution is just bland.

Thankfully I would recommend you play the new update. It gets rid of that stupid mechanic and adds normal undertale attacks that only happen during the opponent’s turn.

Glitchtale is bad, and if you disagree with me, you defend groomers.
