I think you have not seen malayalam movies from the way you have judged south indian movies. There are 4 language industries in south film malayalam,tamil, telugu and kannada..all are different from each other

Shraddha Kapoor does few movies because half of bolly biggies hate her, envy of her personality and simplicity even coming from film background she behave like a common Indian girl, not provide her appropriate amount like other female actresses and most important she is literally banned by few big production houses just bcoz she chose a better film dropping theirs. You may research on it. In Stree 2, she will be playing a very important role, that's why trailer has less of her and more importantly the whole universe is flourishing bcoz of her mysterious character and only her presence had made the film bankable back in 2018. Demand was just a sequel but a whole universe was planned later. Otherwise Maddock a mid Prod House would have never spend big amount of money for Horror Comedy Universe.
