The guitar being shown in this video is not the same guitar as the one in part 12? In part 12 (HARDWARE) we can clearly see you used a ABR-1 style bridge with the Modern Nashville mounts but the guitar in this video is the Vintage ABR-1 mounting posts? Personally i much prefer the Vintage ABR-1 Posts like on this guitar. I do not like the modern mounts.
@VittorioCentofanti Жыл бұрын
It‘s the same guitar. I‘ve changed the bridge before I shoot this last video.
@Murphy_R9 Жыл бұрын
@@VittorioCentofanti I was not referring to the bridge itself but the post? The post's in part 12 have large metal inserts tapped in the body and the Vintage ABR=1 posts are small holes? Did you fill those holes and re-drill or something?

Yes, i filled the holes with rests of the same wood (Maple) and er-drilled for the vintage posts.

@Louis19-822 жыл бұрын

1 to 2 coats of primer, see that its clear is this to fill the grain on the back? or is this a sanding sealer?
@VittorioCentofanti2 жыл бұрын
this is so intentional that you can see the grain
@BuhdaPunk2 жыл бұрын
There are only a handful of video on KZbin that do a proper finishing. Had a few questions. Water or alcohol based tints? Who are the tints made by? The grain filler is it water based gel or oil based like mohawk? lastly the Nitro is it of the shelf or is it a specific brand. Looked like only two passes on the grain filler when doing the Les Paul.
@VittorioCentofanti2 жыл бұрын
the paints are branded as colotone by stewmac and can be diluted with either water or alcohol. the grain filler is water-based. The nitro lacquer is from the Zweihorn brand from Germany. yes, the les paul only had 2 layers of grainfiller.

@VittorioCentofanti2 жыл бұрын
The colors are faded in for the first 10 seconds of the video. The colors can be diluted with water or alcohol. The colors are rubbed on the wood from the dark to the light shade until an even transition has taken place.
