Hi, your connection will allow you to listen to sources via eq but it won't allow you to monitor the eq effect in case you wish to record on a cassette, open reel, minidisc, dat tape, cd recorder or any form of recorder. My 2 cents of knowledge suggests to connect eq or any form of sound processor to the tape loop of preamp. This way, you can listen with or without eq effects or record with or without eq effects or viceversa.

Hi, you could have used the tape loop on the back of your 1060. (Play In and Rec Out). This way, you still use the preamp section of 1060 while having the option to hook up a power amp to the Pre Out on the back of your 1060.

Hi, i have a yamaha ax590 stereo integrated amplifier with pre out stage. and a norge eq how can i connect them?
@stairwaytomusic7115 күн бұрын
Hello, sorry for the delay. The Pre-Out is the option where you can use the amp as PREAMP, but you need another integrated amp with option of Main-In or a Power Amp. You can use an equalizer on AUX, CD, Tape In and select from the amp accordingly. However, if you see any integrated amp with Processor In option, you can use the EQ by hook up on that processor-in and use all the sources at the same time using the EQ. Hopefully this helps. Thanks

Lovely. If you get time to have a look at my channel, ive done a tour of my hifi which includes a 1060. Marantz baby but bold integrated amp. I've got vintage celestion ditton 22 speakers. They are wrongly placed in my video under the tv... lol, due to space issues in my room. I've removed them now from under the tv to stands on each corner of another wall in the same room, and of course, it sounds 10 times better than where they were. I truly enjoy watching your videos, and thank you.

I bought one new with tuner in 1980's for just under $1,000. Had it for 5 years then burned out one channel and sold it. A couple of years ago I bought one for $1,500 and put another $2,000 into repairs. In the last week the left channel of the amp section went out. Now I just use the preamp section which is excellent. Love the old stuff but cost $$$ to maintain.

However, as an investment, better to get JBL or Pioneer HPMs rather than this Marantz DS 930. Marantz or McIntosh didn’t successful in the speaker industry. You are most welcome Sir, right now got JBL 4311, 4312B, Yamaha NS 670 & 690, Polk Monitors 10B. Couple of weeks ago, had the JBL L112. For cassette deck, I would recommend Nakamichi BX series, Pioneer CT-F950 (if the condition is good), and Akai tape decks which usually have GLASS HEADS.

Are you talking about the fan of the Nak? It is very silent on this unit, could be noisy on other units as people doesn’t care their gears and clean them. I found lots of vintage gears which were greasy and which makes squeak noise eventually from the motor of the fan.
