Under about 4.5' the kcfs drops to an easier level with more rock coverage. Above that, it starts to push but you just need to have your line and remember to have a paddle in the water. Below that, the rocks...the rocks. We actually got to see someone take their PFD on it while we were out. We'll get yours one day, I swear it!

It looks like the water levels have settled. We rafted with RVA Paddlesports at the end of July, they wouldn’t let us go past fish ladder due to come kind of pipe/sewer leak? Wish we could have made it through that lower section!

We did have E. coli levels spike in the river from 9th St. (right below Fish Ladder) resulting in a Recreational Water Advisory for that section of the river. RVAPS would've likely been in some sort of violation floating guests into it. I was in it the day before the advisory and came out unscathed but smelly for sure. Things seem to be back under control now and surfing the lower section of Pipeline is back in full effect!

like the videos but consider not adding the background music to future videos. It makes the videos less enjoyable to watch. You either have to suffer though the music or mute it. Hearing what your camera recored is much better

I dabbled for a while with that as well but got annoyed with the distorted sound of nature. I do try and keep the background music without lyrics, though, for a similar reason. Thanks for watching!

Kind of average for this time of year but coming a week after a heavy few days of rain. The weekend before, the water was 2x as high.

The weather wasn’t great for it this run but there’s so many holes to check out, the float from Buchanan to the campground alone could take a full day if they’re biting.

Thanks! We put in on Bald Rock off of rt. 11. There used to be access out right at rt. 11 but it’s closed now and you have to go further down river. Friends of the Middle River have mapped out access points on their website ( friendsofthemiddleriver.org )
