As being addressed here, do not ignore these signs. Even when a doctor tells you it's just your lymph nodes. You probably have a virus. Like this gentleman, it can be cancer; and the longer you wait to have it biopsied, the longer the cancer has to spread. My brother-in-law, who was a smoker, would not go to the doctor for a chest x-ray for his symptoms of continuous cough. He was a partner with his brother, my husband, and walked into work one day and my husband asked him what was on his neck. It was a lump. Finally, he went to the ER that day because he wasn't feeling well and because of the lump, and he was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer. He died at age 50, four months after diagnosis.
