Hey we're you able to find a work around instead of selling your RVs that you had as short term rentals?

I stayed here a few years ago and there was a heavy dark energy.. I’m curious to know if you felt it too..

This looks amazing. I really want to propose here to my high school sweetheart after 7 years of being bf/gf. I’m glad you got to share this, as I finally received a good job to be able to move on to my next chapter!!!

this needs to be taken to the city counsel and put restrictions on building permits. Go to your local town hall meetings

Curious whether banks would consider the experience of consultants hired to support your project in making a commercial loan decision. Assuming you are looking for funding for your first foray into the glamping space.

Right now we have people who coming to the land for camping

We bought our land in cash about 10 years ago for $25,000 now it is worth $230000. We put $3000 for landscaping and driveway. We just have electricity connections cost about $7000. We are going to have a new manufacturing homes which will cost about $150,000 that would include septic tank and water well. Before we only focus on our rental investment, but now we have more time and we give it a try on glamping business

Nice! I’m wondering if you agree what is more accurate using of average or median in all airbnb listings in a market? For example 4 listings has adr of $50, $100 $150 & $3000 average is $825 where as median falls between $100 & 150

I really love listening to these podcasts while I'm at the gym in the morning. I'm preparing to start my own business in this space and there's always a new idea or piece of wisdom in each video. I take a notebook with me and jot down everything I hear that sparks an idea or helps me get a better idea of how to move forward with specific steps.

STR fees should be $5,000/yr!

I stayed in an Airbnb house in downtown Joshua tree. The house was in disrepair and the yard was an absolute mess. It was horrible and it was very clear that the investors did not give a damn about their neighbors or the community. Their only interest was collecting the fees. I talked to the neighbors and they said that is all to common. Airbnb: destroying America's communities one neighborhood at a time!

Cool vid! Does DROP has a showroom near NY or NY?

I feel bad for anyone trying to invest in a rental property in Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, and anywhere in that vicinity. The restrictions on short term rentals are going to increase, it's just not a safe investment.

Oof, this is so accurate. And that’s the hardest money to spend because it looks like no progress is being made.

The video would be so much more impactful if you had more of a mix of images or video showing the actual property. Just a thought, talking heads as an entire video is not the best.

Oh crack! What the heck is going on? Lex I am with you on not quitting, pivot and keep going but I just fear if they (your town board, whomever) change the rules now, whats to say they won't change again in the near future? This year New York City just got shut down for all intense and purposes. And I blame Airbnb for not stepping up to fight any so called lobbyist (hotel or what have you). Airbnb is coming up short in keeping markets it fought to open once upon a time, and now letting them die off. If UBER found a way to step right on the big toe of the taxi industry and thrive (which is actually hard to believe) I can't see why the juggernaut of Airbnb can't do the same. In my eyes Airbnb is failing and instead of wasting its time punishing superhosts when a slight hiccup occurs with a one-off booking they should be more focused on fighting off the other juggernauts that are succeeding in crushing the Airbnb industry.

Welcome back to KZbin long format Lex! It's been a while. Man this new unit is the bomb! I thought it was container home at first glance before you said its on wheels. Got that Star Wars Sandcrawler look. The other 4 units are all great too. Love your excitement in showing them off. Keep it up and best of success.

Hey guys thanks for posting this. A lot of people’s problems seem to come from hands off approach. I feel as if it’s much better to be hands on. Better for guests and gives me a lot of comfort. So glad I live on the property and not hours away. I host a cabin and a Glamp. Opened the Glamp in April…WOW! What a response. haven’t seen a big downturn in bookings yet with the recession coming. How bout y’all?
