Hey friend. I rewatched this again. I don’t see where I mentioned practicing it. If I do mention the “practice” of it that means I’m participating in it. Tongues for personal edification is a gift that we have the freedom to choose to do ENABLED by the Holy Spirit. It doesn’t happen to me randomly, it happens as I make the decision to participate in it. I hope that brought some clarity. Blessings! 🙌

Well yeah you can't just say I believe in God now I can speak in tongues. No, it doesn't work like that. You have to pray to receive the holy Ghost, the baptism of the holy Ghost just like they did on the day of Pentecost in the upper room, all 120 of them including the mother of Mary. They were having a prayer meeting and Jesus said to himself. I'm sure something like this. It is time I walked with him. I told them that I'm with you now. I'm going to ascend up, I'm with you but soon I will be in you. I will not leave you comfortless. I will come to you. This is where the comfort was poured out upon the 12th and those in the upper room do 108 other people including the mother of Mary. So the holy Ghost is given well. How did they know? How did they know where they received the holy Ghost? They spoke with other tongues as the spirit of God spoke through them. There is also the gift of tongues which is one of the 9 gifts of the Spirit, 1st Corinthians 12. It also mentions gifts of the Spirit in Romans chapter 12. In order to have any of the gifts of the spirit you have had to have received the baptism of the holy Ghost like they did in Acts chapter 2:1-4. it's used for the evidence that you received the holy Ghost. Isaiah chapter 28:11-12 this is the fulfillment of the promise of the comforter being given to humanity Jesus talks about it when he's talking to the 12 and telling them that I am with you. But soon I shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless. I will come to you the fulfillment of Isaiah chapter 28:11-12 and a fulfillment of Jesus. When he said I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you that all happened in the book of Acts 2:1-4.
