Why do I get "sternum pain" aka a slight stretch in the middle of my chest when doing dips but not on tricep dips? I also notice when I do dips more often I get that stretch more often too. Sometimes I dont even get it at all. So maybe I have tight chest or something but im not sure if my chest is even tight cuz all chest stretch I have good range of motion and I always do shoulder dislocations aswell and I have great shoulder range of motion there too so im not sure why I get this tight feeling when I lean abit more then normal when doing dips. I also noticed if I have straight legs my chest gets more focused and I get that feeling, if I bend my legs back and stay abit more upright I dont get that feeling at all so probably I should stick to triceps dips then? I dont get that feeling too on tricep machine dips so I think I should avoid chest dips or still try to do it or? I also like parrarell bars more then V bar and sorry for my english im trying to explain my problem and want ur opinion, thanks in advance sir.

I would try to get at that spot with some soft tissue work. use a lacrosse ball between your chest and the wall and try to roll along the line of sensation you feel. You can also place your arm on the wall like a t shape to elongate those muscle fibers while you roll them. Let us know how it goes!
