I come to research different potential head speeds for my V2. So years later this is still a value added video, thanks for taking the time to upload it! I'm thinking 1700/2000/2250 with 1700 mostly, and 2000 for when I'm feeling randy. 2250 just because that's the designed rating for peak RTU's in this size rating under optimal atmosphere.

So glad you came up to visit! I'm happy you had a good time! Thanks again for your help with the M4! Would've taken like 2 years longer without you... 😉 I'll have to bring it down your way sometime so you can see it fly! I'll do a maiden flight video before then though too.

@@BladeScraper So, what was the main reason U decided this heli equipped with RF ?? Does it fly like a regular ball-bearing headed heli like Blade 150S or these types ?? THanks.
@BladeScraper19 күн бұрын
@fklotaloi I did it to make it fly better than the stock FC. No this is not a high performance heli, it's still very much toy quality. The blade grips are sloppy and will wear out quick. But at least now it flies decent and is fun :)
@fklotaloi19 күн бұрын
@@BladeScraper I hate this helicopter kinda stays ""locked in "" , but equipping RF controller at least makes it fly like a real heli. I was looking for 4 bladed collective heli for my own Mi-17 fuselage. Goosky is too expensive....that's why I was thinking RC Era C189 with RF .
@BladeScraper19 күн бұрын
@@fklotaloi yes, the stock FC is made to have it fly like a drone so it's easy to fly for new people. But for people who already fly helicopters, it's too limiting. That is why I did Rotorflight

Fantastic flights. How are you liking the more powerful motor? I have both M2 EVO and Goosky S2 and there's a significant difference power-wise between the two. Has this new motor closed the gap? Is TALY noticeably better? I've noticed that TALY doesn't have much effect as the battery wears down during a flight on the original M2 EVO. I hear you on the slower cyclic response at lower head-speeds with the original M2 EVO - I noticed that too, especially as the battery wore down over a flight and the governor couldn't maintain original RPM. Quick question - both of my M2 EVO's have resonances above 75-80% since new, so I keep the head-speed between 68% and 70%. My M2 V2 spins silky smooth at most RPM's, as well as my Goosky S2. Have you noticed any resonances in your M2 EVO's - either the old ones or this new one? Thanks!
@BladeScraper22 күн бұрын
The new motor is definitely noticeable in TALY. It's much more powerful in that regard. And I do feel like it's more powerful in flight as well, but I do not generally push this heli to the power limits as I usually fly at the lower and mid RPM, the high RPM (where you'd notice more powerful) is generally not my style. As for the resonance I have not noticed any such on my M2 EVO's including this one. Have you checked if you have a bent main/feathering shaft or something?

What are your thoughts on the new motor?
@BladeScraper23 күн бұрын
It seems to work! haha. I tend to fly at lower RPMs usually so I don't notice the power difference much, but the higher kV compared to the MK1 motor does make a noticeable improvement in TALY performance.
