@@ekwh84 in this video the entire back and side are super turf 2, however the front yard is perennial rye grass because i got into reel mowing

@@ekwh84 i like how st2 has blue grass in it because the bluegrass fills in bare spots by itself over the course of a season, however my neighbor bought Raptor LS from united seeds and it’s 100% tall fescue and it that’s what i’m going to use going forward because a 100% tall fescue lawn looks incredible the entire season when sometimes the blue grass stresses out in the summer

Pretty nice review! Probably going with this JD striping kit for my new JD tractors I'd like to make the janky DIY one for $20, but I frequently back up and don't really know whether anyone considered what happens when you back over a PVC pipe full of rocks and sand while the mower blades are running. The brush solution avoids that issue altogether.

Does this kit help to eliminate any grass clumps that mulching occasionally leaves on the surface of the lawn by brushing them into the turf?

His mower has the Accel Deep deck- it has better vacuum suction than the normal Edge Deck (1" flatter in the rear), which helps out with the clumping already if you want mow faster. Ultimately, mowing slower and at a higher deck height with proper mulching blades (which help with the vacuuming) will allow more processing time to avoid clumps.

Looks great. On my JD mower, I installed a marine type squeeze bulb on the gas line and give it a few squeezes before starting up (on cold start). Makes a WORLD of difference on crank time. Right around where your fuel filter is at.

I've used United Seed tall fescue seed last year, I ordered several varieties, and blended them together myself. I ordered Valkyrie LS, Titanium 2LS, 4'th Millennium and Avenger 2. All tall fescue seeds. It came up very good. The only issue I had was in the summer with diseases, brown patch. How is yours holding up ? Thanks, John

i’ve had zero disease issues since i planted this years ago. Right now the blue grass in the mix has started to go dormant in the heat (i don’t irrigate) but the tall fescue is dark green and handling the summer like a champ

Yep, there are a lot of free/almost free options but they have downsides. Dragging something behind you means when you go over hard surfaces it drags on those too.
