If it is not mentioned in the Quran and Hadith then it is halal what makes it haram is the use and content. To add halal and haram in the religion is a major sin. All of those scholars that you mention are not prophets and that is their interpretation. The whole zaboor is songs.

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “This idafah [possessive or genitive construction, i.e., your voice] serves to make the meaning specific, as with the phrases [translated as] “your cavalry” and “your infantry” [later in the same ayah]. Everyone who speaks in any way that is not obedient to Allah, everyone who blows into a flute or other woodwind instrument, or who plays any haram kind of drum, this is the voice of the Shaytan. Everyone who walks to commit some act of disobedience towards Allah is part of his [the Shaytan’s] infantry, and anyone who rides to commit sin is part of his cavalry. This is the view of the Salaf, as Ibn ‘Abi Hatim narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas: his infantry is everyone who walks to disobey Allah.” (Ighathat al-Lahfan). Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Do you then wonder at this recitation (the Quran)? And you laugh at it and weep not, Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing)” [al-Najm 53:59-61] ‘Ikrimah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: it was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that al-sumud [verbal noun from samidun, translated here as “Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing)”] means “singing”, in the dialect of Himyar; it might be said “Ismidi lana” [‘sing for us’ - from the same root as samidun/sumud] meaning “ghaniy” [sing]. And he said (may Allah have mercy on him): When they [the kuffar] heard the Quran, they would sing, then this ayah was revealed. Ibn Kathir (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “Allah says (interpretation of the meaning) “Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing)” - Sufyan al-Thawri said, narrating from his father from Ibn 'Abbas: (this means) singing. This is Yemeni (dialect): ismad lana means ghan lana [sing to us]. This was also the view of ‘Ikrimah.” (Tafsir Ibn Kathir) Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Do not sell singing slave women, do not buy them and do not teach them. There is nothing good in this trade, and their price is haram. Concerning such things as this the ayah was revealed (interpretation of the meaning): {And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing) to mislead (men) from the path of Allah…} [Luqman 31:6].” (Hasan hadith) The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Among my ummah there will certainly be people who permit zina, silk, alcohol and musical instruments…” (Narrated by al-Bukhari ta’liqan, no. 5590

*Conclusion:* In the light of the above evidences from the Qur’an, sayings of our beloved Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give peace) and texts of the various Fuqaha, the following is the decisive ruling with regards to Music: Musical instruments that are solely designed for entertainment are unlawful, with or without singing. However, to play the tambourine (daf) at weddings (and other occasions according to some fuqaha) will be permissible.

Sahih al-Bukhari 5590 Narrated Abu 'Amir or Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari: that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful. And there will be some people who will stay near the side of a mountain and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, 'Return to us tomorrow.' Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection."

Usage of musical instruments are haram indeed in singing and hence when we talk about today's music, it is known by necessity that its all BS. Incites hypocrisy. There is enough evidence from Quran and authentic Ahadith, the Athar, and concensus of Scholars of the past. Those who try to justify are ignorant heads and know nothing how a ruling is derived from Quran and Sunnaah and the interpretation of the pious predecessors who followed them. Those who want to listen will keep listening to it even if angels meet him and tell him clearly as this fellow is misguided and chosen to be misguided due to the covering of sins around his heart. just think that (let's hope absolutely not) we could be among the people of hell, so there is little to listen to music.. let's think about preparing answers to Allâh Glory be to Him the Most High. Then if you are one who listens to music, after doing so, note if your faith has increased (I don't think so) so this is another proof that it is Haraam.. finally (and this is better than said above) there are authentic Ahadith like Sahih Al-Bukhari, 7/5590 as clear as the sun regarding this topic. and Ibn Mas'ud (Faqiih by the way) swore to Allâh that the Ayah 31 6 وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَشْتَرِي لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ And of mankind is he who purchases Lahu Al-Hadith to mislead (men) from the path of Allâh, it refers to singing. who are we near all this to say otherwise... let us be sincere and the truth will appear.. The Jewish people own their story. Various empires confirm the Jewish story. This story continued through Europe, North Africa, Ethiopia, Iraq, Iran until they returned to their ancestral homeland. Jews were forced out of Judea which was renamed Palestine. The world persecuted and killed them but they returned home. Islam copied the Jewish story, Jewish prophets and kings and claim their version is the truth. How can that be? What is the proof that the Quran came from God directly. What is the imperical and archeological proof of the existence of Mohammed. Why was a mosque built on a Jewish Temple during the Muslim ottoman rule? The Jewish story was copied and altered to create Islam.

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious and Most Merciful And those who disbelieve are allies of one another, (and) if you (Muslims of the whole world collectively) do not do so [i.e. become allies, as one united block under one Khalifah (a chief Muslim ruler for the whole Muslim world) to make victorious Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism], there will be Fitnah (wars, battles, polytheism) and oppression on the earth, and a great mischief and corruption (appearance of polytheism). 8: 73 Why are we Muslims not talking about reestablishing the power and control Allah SWT give us from the beginning? The command is to unite under one Khalifah. The number one concern on the minds of the Muslims is the tragedy in Gazza. The destruction in Gazza is worse than that of Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined. The Zionist Israelis are the modern day Amelak as they were a tribe from nation of the Israelites and their brutality in Gazza and West Bank is the evidence. We have to listen to what Allah SWT is saying to us in the above verse and from the beginning. "And Remember when your Lord said to the Angels, I am going place Khalifah on earth".... 2: 30 You see the UN which controlled by USA, is dead body in the muddy water as every resolution passed by majority, is vetoed by USA. Which means we have to create a balance of power in the world by creating United League of Muslim Nations. Which is to reestablish the Caliphate because we are children of Adam, peace be upon him . "United League of Muslim Nations" under one Khalifah will be a strictly defensive Force with a quick response to any threat to the Ummah of Islam. And it is easy to do it. It will be the Council of Muftis, from which they will choose the Khalifah. Under the Khalifah will be a seat for a Mufti from every country in world with 100,000 plus Muslim population as Islam is for entire World. From every municipality we will choose a representative till we have the Council of Muftis for that country with a Grand Mufti of that country to sit in the Council of Muftis under the Khalifah. All communication can be done remotely with everyone working from home. Most effective and real democratic way of governing where all decisions are made by the Council of Muftis but the Khalifah having the final say. Under the Khalifah, the "ULMN" will have its own army, navy and Air Force under one commander for defending the entire ummah. We already have the hardware from major Muslim countries. They just have to be relabeled "ULMN" when they out to defend any part of the Ummah like removing the Mediterranean Sea blockade by Israelis. The four letters "ULMN" will be enough to deter anyone from doing what is happening in Gazza today. But we have to be the Nation of Al Muttaqun for Allah SWT is saying now: "You are the Best of People ever raised up for Mankind, enjoying what is Good, forbidding what is evil and believing in Allah SWT" .... Quran 3: 110 Then how can we go wrong when the fear of "ULMN" will overwhelm the hearts of our enemies? That is what Islam is and we are Muslims to resolve every matter in a Peaceful manner, Insha Allah. Alhamdu Lillah. If no one is willing to act as the acting Khalifah, I will be the acting Khalifah till one is chosen and sincerely invite all Muslims to join me in this effort, for if we fail but we will never fail, we will still get one Hashanah for our intentions, Insha Allah Jazak Allah Khair Your brother Abu Saad Acting Khalifah (as Son of Adam, AS)

@@radwa.158 There are two types of knowledge one is revealed and the other is acquired. Sound waves of different tunes are produced by the vocal chords ( a kind of violin/rabab/sitar) in our throats when the air from our lungs passes through them. Our inner ear then turns these sound waves after reaching via medium into the electrical signals for our brain. This is how we hear all voices including recitation of Quran. Anything (not just music) that keeps us away from Allah is forbidden. We love our parents brothers, women but at the same time we never forgot our creator. You are showing the real face of islam here. No snake oil selling on the streets with your Dawa. This is your unique down-selling point! You should also tell them (potential future muslims) about the forbidden celebration of one's birthday and about Muhamed liking 6 year old girls. Tell them the full truth!

Remember that Doomsday and Resurrection day is going to be announced by blowing of Trumpet. These guys cannot distinguish between using a vehicle for going to work or for murder declaring the vehicle Haram. The word Haram also cannot be used indiscriminately. It's the type of music and how it is used that matters. Don't forget the Hadith of Syedna Ayesha RA about the singing girls on Eid Day. So...husbands you can sing a romantic song to your wife.....

The very fact people debate it proves it's not Haram. If it was clear, it wouldn't be debated for 1500 years.

Specific types of music is clearly haram. Other types of music can inspire thought and creativity but this is a difficult balancing act. Look up the scholars opinions of music of their time. Al-Ghazali and Ibn Rushd among them. Gangster Rap and New Genres are clearly haram because they contain haram themes. I would argue Classical Arabic music and African music and instrumentals are not haram. During the Islamic Golden Age music was very popular.

This is a fair point. There is ikhtilaaf hence the ongoing debate. I like and listen to certain bands but not all the time. But I'm not going to try to justify it from an Islamic perspective. Where something is described as haram it's clearly forbidden like alcohol, fornication and usury. I don't feel music falls into this category but Allah swt knows best and I believe it's the sunnah to avoid things we're unsure about. Now I should take my advice. May Allah swt forgive me.

Don't know what you're on my friend, but the debate has not been on for 1500 years. Only in recent times has this debate actually surfaced. For the majority of the Islamic history, this wasn't a debate at all and no one contested that music is Haram. It's only now, with the explosion of the music industry, that people are going to great lengths to make it halal.

Many people bought music instruments not to mislead people , they bought music instruments for source of incom. They never disturbed others from thier worship, they stop singing during time of pray.

U could say the same for alcohol. Many people sold/bought alcohol for income not to mislead people, they never disturbed others for their worship…

@suhilawrasul4097 not the same if we compare because instrument is called an USELESS while the alcohol or liquor is prohibited or haram in Quran.

Only duff is permissible just becaUse prophet Muhammad Sallallahu alayhi wasallum, played it on festive occasions.! Shahih Al bukhari mentions the hadith where Prophet Muhamamd (SW) clearly mentioned about musicial instruments being haram. Haram things are always tempting don't give in to these brother. May Allah guide you to the right path!

the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful.
