More vertical shock mounting will help with the torque twist and trimming the body on the rear and or front if need be Nice rig....also you mught be able to find some double bend links for suspension as well and they might help with clearance issues or maybe not...I'm still learning this crawler thing myself lol....but theres a ton of stuff you can do that truck depending upon how much money you willing to throw in it

Thanks for watching and comments. !! Im about to break this beast back out for the winter. Not sure what i really want to do with it yet for upgrades. It’s the “ do i or don’t i “ scenario. Axles, thinking ar60, HR, maybe LMT. Have metal frame rails for it. Twin servos. Game plan in action. Im new to the crawler scene too. What cool upgrades have you done to yours so far.?

Thanks buddy..!! Just trying to keep up with all you big dogs out here.!! Lol how are you liking that lasernut so far.? I see your getting some good drive time in with that grave digger.!! Love those machines.. !! I really didn’t mean to break it like that. The wings always go on these when ugly jumping happens, but seriously it took more of a beating than i wanted. Those parts were supposed to go back on another buggy, not now. Perfect the rebirth has spawned a another new build. SMH.

Did your ESC come with a programming manual? If so, you can always run through it but it’s in sport mode possibly where you have no reverse I’m not sure about the break but nonetheless run through your program settings so you have Ford brake and reverse.

If your programming it by the beeps .. They changed the firmware my manual was wrong but it had an ESC program sheet which is correct... If you installed a new spectrum ESC and used the programming info in the manual you had you will have issues.. Oh all arrma 6s stuff is fully interchangeable you may need a group of parts IE upper lower A arms axle and steering link.... The same goes for their 3s stuff.. If you find the 6s too difficult to work on get a 3s almost no screws..

They don’t like water as much as they say they’re waterproof . It’s the reciever box , water gets in somehow . The esc s are sealed mostly . It can get anywhere . The 4s outcast gets hardly anything inside when driving in leaves unlike my k6s and granite gets a ton of stuff but them high v2.5 outcast body things might fit . Just a thought for myself to check out . Anyways I finally got my k6s dialed for track bashing . It’s a max6 1650kv with a 20t and punch @ 2-4 gives really good action of the throttle the whole way the trigger travels . Full speed can pop the front end up at any time and it’s way fast already . It doesn’t seem to pop up with 4s LPs tires though amd scoots rather nicely . I was thinking as much punch but it’s not fun to drive when the front wheels are so easily triggered to come up so yeah , punch 2 and it’s amazing throttle control . I thought at a time an 18t pinion was its max but this 20t seems to keep everything in parameters according to the esc Bluettooth app thingy readings had RPS around 28,000 and max esc amp @ 360 spiking is high for a 200 amp esc . It’s between 80- 160 with this set up and temps around 100 for engine and esc is a little higher always around 120 . So I can bang on it for a while without having to stop for heating issues . A 6s typhon might be my next project . I hear they’re good jumpers but I was also thinking the 3s typhon does pretty much the same thing and doesn’t need upgrades. Kind of like the granite stock . Actually the wide kit on a granite is a bonus and Pat least one steel diff and pinion in the rear imho . I think the next thing I’d like to try is take the extra 6s system and throw it in the 4s outcast and run it 4s and then take that 4s system and motor and move it over to the granite since I think they both could use a little more acceleration power . You know how we get used to things . New bearings can do a lot but sometimes a little more power is nice to have. The main reason would be to keep the motor running cooler . All my 3s and 4s RC s from arrma all lvc with a couple full throttle runs . I ll make some vids brother .

Awesome!! Haven’t done the 4s in the granites yet. Just installed big rock suspension on the granite. I could get into and start so many projects, love rc and building. 6 s is definitely a strong contender for a favorite in power and speed. Haven’t tried an 8s yet. I bet its awesome maybe in the near future. Trading power systems sounds fun was in the works with mine. Looking forward to seeing the vids..!!

I have the cf Omni . While it’s a great ground ripper it can bash with the good ones . 3s stock granite with a wide kit is a good 3s basher but 4s and 6s is what I really like to use . Although those darn 3s arrma platform can be make some good mix and match builds . 4s lp s on a granite is my favorite .

hey thanks for the comment, im getting good feed back for a wide stance granite..i just built one , havent run it yet. was worried the width would make it brittle like, anxious to give it a rip now..i highly agree the 4-6s is extreme fun.. now leaning towards an 8s size with 6s combo..just tossing the idea around..will definately try the 4s in the granite..
@Hungrybird474
@Hungrybird474 3 ай бұрын
Good information . Just found the channel . Yes , I agree with sticking with a couple RC s and making them great . I started with a Kraton 6s and knew I was over my head , lol. It sat for a while before I really bashed it , then I got a granite and really liked it , then a 4s outcast . I figured to stay with the same company besides the rlaarlo cf Omni I picked up . Sticking with the same company has made it easy for me to keep extra parts , esc s . I got a max6 g2 1650 combo for the k6s amongst other upgrades and it’s allowed the possiblility of adding a 6s system to a 4s and a 4s to a 3s . I haven’t yet because I was thinking they’re already good enough and upgrades sometimes aren’t as good as we think they will be imho . Some are , some aren’t . Now that I have 4 good ones I’m pretty good . I’ve upgraded a granite into something really cool and might try a longer chassis sometime in the future . It’s able to withstand and power 4s backflips with a wide kit and lands like a cream puff, I love it . They’re all good . The inky car that hasn’t gotten anything besides some M2c pistons work awesome on 4s shocks becasue there’s no bladder . Yeah , it can easily get out of hand . I clean them with a spray bottle and co press or or mini hand held when away from home . I ll never pressure wash my RC s that totally awesome at dollar general mixed with 50% water works good for me and a can of blaster dry silicone lube for the bearings has kept them nice . It foams and soaks into the bearings like the overpriced cow RC stuff . I looked at the cow RC prices for chemicals and started laughing . Why overpay for something that does the same thing as the chemicals at my local Walmart . I guess everyone has to do their rc their own way . I just use what works for me and makes sense . It’s been an interesting journey . They’ve come a long way since I last messed with RC s back in the 90s . I will say the kcrc ramp has been worth the $250 and handles a 1/8 size k6s . Pretty good . 👍. I hardly break anything using the blaster silicone lube to keep the plastics soft . Long comment but who cares ? I learned not to grab a flexible wing mount and carry the RC 😂, they will tear above the screw . So not I’m taking the old wing mount and going to boil it to see if it helps but I’ve broken a couple screws inside the shock tower is why I switched . Tires is another thing , eventually the foam goes compressed . I ve seen people use the pool floaty noodles for new foams . Ok til next time

hey thanks for the comment and feed back..lots of great info and tips there.. yes , sometimes upgrades are more like short term upgrades. ive done a couple upgrades that made things worse ending up taking them back off. useing a mix of certain stock peices with certain aftermarket can be a winner..seen a lot of interesting ideas with rc cars and material, but never even thought of spraying or boiling parts.. flat or dead foam in the tires is a pain, we put ours on blocks to raise off ground , it helps. keep the good times rollin..!!

Bash it till it breaks! Then fix the problem. To get that motor to fit... You Flip the lower control arm to the outside of the frame. Put the end link on the screw facing to the outside. Looks a little silly but it CAN fit if you needed it to. Try some 100 mm shocks and it looks like you have a winner! See you on the trails...
