Im sorry but this makes no sense. How are the two three-carbon chains to the left and right in the “stereocenter” example different?!

the left example is a stereocenter because its attached to a methyl, chlorine, propyl, and iso-propyl. every attachment is different, making it a stereocenter. The right is NOT a stereocenter because its attached to a methyl, chlorine, and 2 propyls. two attachments are the same (the propyls), making it NOT a stereocenter.
