Have new iPad Pro 12.9 inch. It would not turn on directly out of the sealed packing (brand new, not a refurb). Was bought as a gift for me, and my spouse commented about hearing audio from the device while she was gift wrapping. I’m assuming it was on in the sealed box and completely discharged in the weeks prior to my opening it. After charging it for 3 days with no luck (would not even show sign of charging), I simply placed a heating blanket under the iPad (on medium heat) for about 3 minutes…AND IT COMPLETELY REACTIVATED THE BATTERY AND ALLOWED ME TO CHARGE IT to 100%! Thanks for this tip. Prevented my iPad from remaining a $1K paperweight and kept me from having to replace the battery or deal with an Apple return or repair.

I pulled up the video to fix the issue and I magically turned on. After about 3 days of charging. And I didn’t even do the hack lmao

A million likes for you sir. THANK YOU! Happened to me yesterday no idea why. My iPad is not new certainly, but it’s well taken care of. It’s like a house cat 😂. With the exception of going on a few vacations and not recently. I had come home to the death screen yesterday, found this video and heated her up with my blow dryer and VOILA, she works! Was on 1% last night & I was worried but she’s 100% this morning! Possibly from ALWAYS being on charge? I’m going to leave her unplugged during the day from now on. THANKS AGAIN! ❤
