Really beautifully simple version of this song, maybe better than the original version?! Some of the loveliest songs ever are just one instrument and one person singing with a beautiful voice, such is the case with this one! 😊😅💕

This is absolutely brill! This is one of those songs that I instantly recognized but had no idea where it was from until seeing it here. 😅 It sounds amazing at full speed but I actually think it sounds really pretty played slowly during the demonstration playthrough. Thank you for all the great musics y'all always create! 😊

Rewatching GoT and had to learn this on my Uke! Your version sounds the best versus all the other tutorials I’ve found, but it’s the most complex. My fingers are aching lol. I find myself rewinding the video a LOT. Although I wish there was a close up on your hands, or the chords/string #s up on screen as you pluck them , so when I’m going faster or putting everything together I still have the sequence as it’s happening. If that makes sense. I know the chords can be found on the site, but I find it helpful to have them popping up on screen as you do them. Thank you for this tutorial !! I’m determined to learn. It gets (slightly) easier each time I try.

I'm a total beginner and I have always strummed or picked. I've never "strum-picked" before. It's a new sensation and act of precision that is fun to eek out and develop. Like a little "ahaa...". lol.

@@RockClass101 okay. Trying to decide if I should get g high or g low string on it. I believe it’s a concert ukulele. It is 24” long. The g string is high on it.
@RockClass1019 күн бұрын
I'd stick with High G, because sometimes when you switch from high to low G, you'll need to have the uke setup again since the string gauges are different between the two.

Wonderful sound from that baritone! I ended up with two beautiful tenor ukes. (Had sold one before buying the other but COVID in December prevented transaction because the buyer specifically needed it to surprise his wife on Christmas morning.) I’m thinking of putting a set of re-entrant baritone strings for ukulele on the tenor ukulele I’d planned to sell. I can see this as a plus when playing with a group, but how practical is this when just playing for fun alone? I do mostly fingerstyle every day as I play by myself.
@RockClass1019 күн бұрын
Hi Carol, you can def change the tenor to baritone tuning, but it might need a minor setup since you'll be putting a different sized string gauge on. All of the playing knowledge you've accumulated is interchangeable between tenor and baritone. The main difference is the tuning. So you'll have to re-learn the names of chords and notes on the neck. For ex., a G chord (0232) on tenor is a D chord (0232) on baritone.

Hey Matt I am pretty new to playing the ukulele and went straight from playing simple chords straight to trying to play a really difficult composition of the song “Creep by Feng E” The second I heard the song I knew I had to learn to play it. I’ve been practicing the song for about 3 weeks now and I have the intro of the song pretty much done but once I got out of just the fingerpicking and into his crazy strumming part I got really stumped I went looking on the internet for how to play his strumming pattern but there is really nothing out there and his tutorial is very hard to follow and too fast for me I just can’t figure it out. I saw your Channel and saw how skilled you were I was hoping you could help me with this by posting a tutorial video of the song. Much thanks to you guys for making these great tutorial videos they have helped me out a ton during my short time as an Ukulele player . Mahalo 🤙🏼

when I decided to learn ukulele, I immediately decided for baritone. Reason is, I do not want to start with guitar (maybe) and also all other is too small for me. 😊. But different tuning I have appeared after I have bought it.. I have Flight Fireball, very nice masive mango with originaly steel strings.. BUT: it is difficult to find school, course, and even scores (!). Most of scores are written on concert/tenor... So I acustomed to play trumpet from scores, and with bari I will have very small repertoare. Therefore I have changed original strings to high G string, so tuning as tenor, just richer sound.. I even can not use guitar scores. Do you have anybody some solution? But Flight is a masterpies, that mango, just watching on it... 😊 Thank you for video.

I'm extremely stage-frightened and have been so for 30+years. I know hundreds of songs inside out and can't think of a reason to perform them in front of an audience for fear of humiliation. I know it's not rational but that doesn't help. At the very least, your video has made me realise I'm not alone and given me advise on how to harness the monkey.😊

Excellent video. Thank you. I have a concert with low g and debating may self between getting a low g tenor or baritone. I like the resonance and low pitch of the baritone more but I am not sure if I want to learn new names for the same chords. Not sure yet.
@RockClass10117 күн бұрын
If you're drawn to the baritone's resonance and low pitch, I say go for it! Learning the new chord names for the baritone isn't too hard and can be a fun challenge. 😊

Love this lesson so much! The first part of this still makes me emotional; the idea that it's okay to have performance anxiety and anxiety in general, just because sometimes it doesn't feel okay, or sometimes people don't understand why you get scared playing for others. But it is okay. 😅😥 Thank you for this! 😊 Yeah, and knowing your material is so true. When your brain transports to another dimension (filled with crazed capuchin monkeys) from fear of performing, then your unconscious knowledge of how to play a song can take over. 😂 When my family has asked for me to play for them, that's what I played, the songs I could play without thinking because literally I couldn't think from anxiety. 😅 Thank you again so much! Y'all have helped me get better at playing for others through your lessons. Thank you! 😊

I don't see how you tap and pluck the string at the same time. You mention it's tricky and then don't give any technical advice. It sounds like you pluck-tap-pluck-pluck, but I can't really tell. Do you mind clarifying that detail?

If you only play chords you may be right about four fingers. Most guitar players only know to play chords but this is a waste of a guitar. It is like playing piano, would you play better with a piano of only two octaves?
