We took the trip in August 1980, but the train was called the Algoma Central Railway. Our train had 4 locomotives (I got a picture, at the park.). What a beautiful ride and a beautiful park. But we didn't know about the lookout. This train ride was part of our big family road trip. We did a lot of stuff in Michigan and southern Ontario.

Are there any treacherous stretches of the grand river? Like rough rapids or waterfalls?
@LetsDiscoverON2 жыл бұрын
Not on this stretch of river. The tour company takes people on this stretch so that tubing is fun for all ages. You want serious paddling, they go elsewhere.

Why is the TTC museum in Milton and not Toronto? That makes no sense whatsoever, who is going to drive that far just to look at an old street car? It should’ve built as a part of the railway museum in the round house by the CN Tower in the south core, but no, that would make sense, and like everything else with this city, if it makes sense, they refuse to do it, and instead choose the hard way, the most inconvenient way to the public, and people wonder why I can’t stand politicians, seriously?
@LetsDiscoverON3 жыл бұрын
Well, this is actually not a TTC museum. It's got streetcars and subway cars from all over North America. Milton is where the group of volunteers is originally from. It's too bad that the TTC doesn't have their own museum - they've had so many different vehicles since the start, it'd be nice to see the really old ones.

Tony & Petula Fera yes, we are planning to go on 18th, but, most of us don’t know how to swim. Paddleboat seems very safe and stable and life jacket is must but still, it’s better to not take chances in deep water. Water in Grand River is not very deep, it will be great experience.
