I saw this show in Edmonton. It was mesmerizing. The stage was translucent and lit from underneath, so it would shimmer and change colors and patterns as the music changed. Even more amazing was the fact that Bryan had two gigantic braziers loaded with frankincense at either side of the stairs leading down toward the audience. These were lit and the entire venue was filled with the incredible, wafting scent of frankincense, which added yet another layer to the experience. Finally, the chubby little black lady in this clip singing backing vocals is Little Queenie of Little Queenie and the All White Negro Band. They were the opening act then she returned to provide backing vocals and did an amazing job of the high run on Avalon. This was simply epiphanic.

I'm surprised that Bryan isn't better known here in the States. His sound is uniquely his own and his songs are written with talent and thought. Saw him on August 6 1988. You don't forget seeing him.

The only time I've seen Bryan live was during his Bete Noir tour. Bryan live? Infingcredible! August 6,1988. Lots of Roxy songs too.

But that was someone ..not that young person...a man...I apologize but like your age..in 50's or maybe 60...years old..pretty refine suited..neat..I went back..and ...before next week classes I ..I was just courious..asked her..Was that your boyfriend or...I said like that...couple words more..And she..like a bit blushing..or just it wasn't polite from me...but she said ..a friend..very good friend..Well it happens Sir ..such relationship are much better ..or safe if I can describe that..but anyway I've never talked to her again...about that...I was just worried a bit but it seemed she was inspired and happy..everything was ok..It doesn't ..hasn't change her attitude..neither behaving..even it looked like she got a misty sensitive beauty she was given already..like she's known something ...some world....state more elugible..or romantic..if I convert it into ordinary description...Yes..yes...Thank you...very much
