He does go into it in detail. He coats a ultra smooth 4-ply sheet of bristol with Chinese white, let's it dry and paints watercolour over that. That layer of dried paint lets you do something similar to oil wipe technique when the work is wet. I played with it on plate finish illustration board. I was happy with the strange technique, but nothing turned out well enough to share

That’s a good question! I don’t really have a list of supplies anywhere. For this video, I used FW acrylic ink and a rosemary and company series 99 brush.
