All is well thanks Wyatt . Hope all is well with you folks in Missouri. I heard the other day that Ireland can get 70% of its daily power from wind energy and people said it would never catch on. Lol

Does more turns make more volts? or why 400 turns? wouldnt be easier to wind 10 wire together 40 times? I'm very corious about how its actually related.

Thanks for your interest. I kind of followed what little interest there was in building such a stator at the time it had to work with the SMA windyboy. It tested every knowledge and patience i could find. The turbine Is still working on the most westerly part of the Dingle peninsula. I found alot of knowledge from hugh's wind turbine recipe book. But i think i could now write my own????

1/2" of resin has no effect on the magnetic field ...
@trishmoriarty37844 жыл бұрын
Good point but its more like 3/4 " and factor in the air gap. Been up now for more than two years in serous high winds. I feel it works better with the holes in the resin. Plus its alot harder to make I like a challenge. Thanks

Bullshit, this is not a big WINDMILL. This thing is going too fast, it is the 200 meter high windmills that kill birds of prey.

Just wondering can you help, I am looking for information on how to go change the windy boy 2500 grid tied to off grid? And would it be possible to work with a 12 volt system. Any info would be appreciated

Nice looking. I see that is also a generator attached. Can you tell us something about that one? Output maybe, where can we take a look if we want to build something similar? You seem deep into the subject. Living in the UK is more wind than sun. I would like to make a smaller one...about 1-meter all around for my small caravan to charge a battery. Maybe you know already some generator available to start with.
