The butlers are available between 7AM and 9PM but there is a number you can call at any time if you need anything. There is 24 hr room service for butler rooms.

@@roncooper1229 Thank you kindly, any recc on 365 integration? or just avoid it fully - and go with gmail to get online. Also, do you have an opinion on the adobe acrobat subscription - specifically the scanner app they have? I am going to play with that - and see if we can eliminate the printer fully.

@@RobertZievers Unfortunately I don't have too much experience with 365. I know sometimes it can be a challenge. I can get Gmail running in less than 10 minutes. Unless you need a specific operation with Acrobat, the machines have the ability to scan and create PDFs that can be opened with any PDF reader. PDF (Compact) can make the files smaller without losing quality. Depending on your model, most GEN3 models have OCR, making the PDFs searchable. You can use any PDF reader too. If they are large files, you may want to consider scan to a folder.

@@roncooper1229 How good is the OCR on gen 3? ? I have had scan drop folders before - required manual review , and a "scan log" because OCR was semi unreliable.

@@RobertZievers OCR has nothing to do with dropped folders. The file is processed at the device before sending. I have done 200-300 pages with no problem. It may take a little bit of time but my files have been easily searchable. Complex OCR would require some software application. Canon has IRIS scanning under the hood.

@thesral96 check if minimal password length is set to 8 characters. New updates set minimum password length on, and default password is 7 characters.

@yonatanabate1755 this was on the imageRUNNER GEN3 device.(probably C5570 or 4525, don't remember off hand) The steps are the same are the newer GEN3 or DX model.

The setting for scanning ID cards is only available in Copy mode. You can use N-on-1 feature to scan both sides of the ID card before sending.

The default password is 7654321, as listed in the Operator Manual. You can change the Administrator password here: Settings/Registration > Management Settings > User Management > Authentication Management.

That would require a service mode setting to be enabled by a service technician. The item is SNDSTREN. It will keep the email address on the screen to send another attachment. Due to legal reasons, I cannot provide you how to access the service mode.

No there wasn't. The barracuda is around 3:50 and most of the fish were after the 4:00 mark. The dive area for this trip wasn't that good. I have been on better locations.

You cannot use card login with Image login. You can change the login type to Proximity Card. Turn on Card Training Method to Username/Password so the user can add their card on their own. If not, you would have to add manually or CSV with the card numbers. Good practice is to turn on Alternative Login Method so they can login with their username and password if they forget their card.

Google changed up a couple of things. You still have to enable 2-step verification. When you have done that, enter "App Password" in the Search bar and click on "App Password". Enter the name you want to use and it will display the App Password. Everything else is the same.

"Initialize All Data" will remove all settings on the device including anything associated with ULM.

I have missed to create system ID and password on my ImageRunner before installing ULM, and am not able login through browser after ULM is installed. Can you plz tell me if there is any workaround now.

@@mrabidmd There is a service mode item (MEAPSAFE) that will disable all MEAP applications and reset the machine to User Authentication login. From there you can add the System Manager ID and password. You have to disable MEAPSAFE then you can re-enable ULM. Due to legal reasons, I cannot tell you how to access service mode. An authorized dealer technician knows how to access service mode.

To configure the Send settings for your model, you need to use the Remote User Interface with a web browser. The app password is created with Google Security and used in place of your normal Gmail password. It is called Remote Operation Viewer. It is a free download from the Canon site. It is very helpful for a company helpdesk or facility management group. The device must be enabled/configured to use it. Under Settings/Registration > Device Settings > Management Settings > License/Other > Remote Operation Settings = On. Be sure to use a password when connecting. It offers some security from anyone connecting from network as well as anyone watching any users at the control panel. There is a message in the Status bar went in use.

Yes, you can use an email provider. I have used Google/Gmail. You will have to use an app password for Google. See my other video: Gmail workaround for Canon MFPs. You may have to change the port number for sending (Default is port 25) and may need to add Allow TLS (SMTP AUTH) authentication.

Sorry, I am not sure what you are referring to. Are you logged into the machine as Administrator to configure the direct connection?

I picked up a GoPro Hero 10 for doing the underwater shots.

Under Options, select Job Build, you can continue to add scans from the glass or the feeder to make a large file. You would only be limited by the maximum size that your email server can send. Usually that is around 10-15 MB in size. Check with your IT for the limits.

If the 2 subnets can communicate with each other, yes. For example, In our operation, we have a machine in 192.168.10.AAA and the access point is 192.168.105.AAA. Because the subnets can communicate, I can do a manual search to the wired machine on 192.168.10.AAA and print to the machine, while connected to 192.168.105.AAA.

@@s091084 If you are able to connect to the device, such as the RUI, you would be able to print to it. It may require you to use a VPN client but that depends on your network configuration and security.

Maximum size is 99 pages or 10 MB. I did get more than 10MB file to print but larger than 100 sheets, it stopped me.

The iR Adv 6065 requires either the Direct Print Expansion Kit for PDF or the Postscript Print Kit-AJI. Both are purchasable licenses. All 1st Generation iR ADVANCE device could only print JPG or TIFF files out of the box.

The video was done using Windows 10 but there was an update that may prevent/limit using "Browse".It is something with DNS. You can use "Search Host" and use the Computer Name or IP address to search.

You should be able to print on A5. The paper size selection is available under print settings. It will depend on the model you printing to so it can recognize A5 in the trays and if you are trying to to do 2-sided printing. 2-Sided on A5 is not supported on most machines. You have to print 1 side then refeed.
