Hi, would this work for a Yaris T3 2004? My car has central locking but I don't have a remote key and Toyota can't get me a working fob. Thanks

Hi, yes it will definitely work, it was the same for me, the car had remote locking but previous owner had lost the fob. Not sure if the wire colours will be the same though. Good luck with it 👍

Hardest part was to remove fan right? Do you need any special tool or was it all normal spanners?
@fifflepede

No special tools, just a spanner and a hammer 😁

When changing timing belt do you have to change water pump?
@fifflepede
@fifflepede 7 ай бұрын
No you don't need to, the water pump isn't run off the timing belt and it is very easy to access (it's what the fan is bolted to) so I wouldn't change the water pump unless it is faulty.

Cool Video, thanks. I have also to change to oil seal behind the dual mass flywheel. Do you know the thghtening torque for the screws? Another question, how do i know if i need a 235mm or the bigger clutch? Im getting both offered via online parts shops. Thanks
@fifflepede
@fifflepede 9 ай бұрын
Thanks, I'm not sure about the torque spec. I couldn't find any info online so I ended up just guessing and tightening things to what felt right. I was offered 2 different sizes of disc, I guessed at the bigger one (cheaper one) and ordered that but when I got the old disc out I saw I needed the smaller one! You might be best to contact toyota with your vin number, they should be able to tell you. I don't think Toyota share much info with parts shops.

Alright..thanks.its interesting. I searched via VIN. When i zake the original clutch disc number, i get a 235mm clutch. When i take the original pressure plate number, i get a clutch set with 240mm. I guess i have to order both and sens then one back. Anyway, thanks again for your great video

How to connect the indicator lights? I connected, but they don’t work. Do I need to install a relay between the light and the box?

Hello, I also have a 2004yaris but the drivers door is only manual. Do I need to buy an electric door lock actuator?
@fifflepede
@fifflepede 5 жыл бұрын
If when you lock the drivers door all the other doors lock as well, then you shouldn't need an actuator. I'm not 100% sure though, someone else might be able to give a better answer.

On my yaris year 2000 the lock wire is the grey one(splice with white/black stripe wire from the module). The brown/yellow stripe do something else. The unlock wire is green/black stripe(splice with white wire) of which you will have 2 of them you can tap in eigther. You also need to connect your yellow and yellow/black stripe to the ground (that is for the Flexon central locking module) as the system is negative triggered just like your one. I didnt bothered with the blinkers, but i assume there will be slight differance in the wiring color code there too. Pro tip: you can use sewing needle to tap in the connector to test if you have the correct wire before splicing in it. You should also look for a wires with constant 11.5 volts. You can measure when your multimeter is connected to the positive and test with the needle on the connector.

No problem. Used the 2 yellow wires connected to the black earth. The diagram indicated they were earth. I hope. Didn't bother connecting the indicators. Seems to lock and unlock ok. Hope it doesn't cause any fires 🙂

it's a long time since I installed it and it's my wife's car so can't check right now, but i think it was just the white and white/black. Sorry, my memory's terrible! Will check when I get chance and post back. Cheers
