I believe the two apps are pretty much equal in feature set. There are some under the hood/technical things that I will be updating the A8Manager with when I start working on the 2.5 release, but nothing a user would see. I am planning on some more audio related tools for the 2.5 release, and once those are released with A8Manager I'll port them over to SquidManager.

That is the feature I talk about at around 3:11. The upcoming Sample/Settings option, under the Channels TOOLS Menu/Clone. It will Clone (which is copy/paste combined) the Sample and the Settings to either one Channel, or all other Channel. 😁

@@cpr2323yep. I spoke too soon ! Great stuff. This is going to be superb. I think if you can it would be good do a short KZbin video of starting the clock to show how quickly samples can be made to work on a squid. Think you could do it in less than a minute? That’d be sweet. Poly squid in under a minute!

That should be easy enough. Maybe the UI would be that if you dropped on to the Cue Component then this would happen.

Awesome! Thanks! Things are going well. :) I am inching towards the v2.4 release, which has required some reworking of code to allow for the new 'Clone' editing features. As well as some new UI components to allow changing of values with mouse dragging. I'm just working out the last details with Loop Start and Loop Length/End, which are treated a little differently since you can toggle between Length and End. Then there a few TOOL menu related features.. and possibly a simple 'full waveform' view that was requested. But, I am trying to not have too much feature creep. :)

Also, make sure you have downloaded the latest release (v2.3.3). I have fixed a variety of bugs. 🤓

Hey Jamie. Is this an issue with presets made with the A8Manager software, or presets made on the module? If it's presets made with the editor, I'd be happy to take a look at the preset file. Thanks for the great ideas. I think the (upcoming) 'import/export' feature can satisfy your desire, without adding specialized behavior to the app. The feature will allow reading/writing of arbitrary preset files somewhere outside of the preset folder, and does not need to use the modules 'prstXXXX' naming convention. Allowing for templates/libraries/etc. I will definately make sure this is in 2.4. I had the UI for this from early on, but the priority was lower than other things, and it was deferred. Applying this to what you want to do, you would first set up a single channel how you prefer. Then use the upcoming 'Copy To All' for the Channel (not a single parameter) to get all Channels setup (vs a live mirroring of the data). Then you would export that to a location where you want to store your templates. And next time you want to create a preset based on that, you can simply Import your template. Does that sound sufficient?

Thanks for the encouragement. :) The global edit feature is on my todo list! I have been referring to it as 'bulk editing'. One thought I had was a right-click popup menu on the edit controls, which would have an option for making it a bulk edit, where you could select the other channels, or something. Like many features, the UI is the hard part! lol. The 64/64 sample assignment is also on my list. And, again, it's the UI that needs consideration. Mostly in thinking about what other use cases are there, and could there be a UI that is still 'elegant' but allows for the 64/64, as well as 8 samples -> zone 0 of all 8 channels, etc. And, good news, while v2.3 is focused on the two new graphic editors, v2.4 is focussed on advanced editing features. That is as far as my roadmap currently goes. :)
