Thanks for the input. WD40 or just goo-gone never worked for me, especially for thicker adhesives. For a de-badge or something like that, those may work great. But for thick 3M double sided tape, nothing worked faster than this wheel for me.

M205 or M105 and a microfiber polishing pad on a DA polisher at the end. Then M205 with medium then light pressure on a foam polishing pad. That'll get it to a mirror shine again and remove all the defects safely.

Diff didn't lock up lol or break, I've heard that specific supra never had TRD TORSEN DIFF and according to the wheel spin in this video it definitely didn't have a TRD DIFF for both wheels would spin at same speed not different speed where rear end kicks out from under yuh, itd skate around if it was a TRD DIFF that come in the factory TT SUPRA smh prolly was a DIFF from a automatic for it has higher topend than the Torsen TRD diff as in ratio for Speed in mph, an be why this supra spun out that auto diff was trying to figure things out an he let off an torque just jerked to other wheel making him go off the road. That diff goes to which ever wheel has more traction so both rear wheels don't spin at same speed, very dangerous in cold weather tho in high HP car with a diff where both wheels dont spin at same speed, more dangerous than a TORSEN TRD diff or even a welded diff tbh, RIP SUPRA

Thanks for this, thought this was how you did it but was a bit scared to pull too hard! Word of advice for anyone attempting this, do it on a warm day. If you do it on a cold day the original caps are more difficult to pull off and more brittle. I spent about 30 mins trying to do this on a cold day and got nowhere with it, and then managed to do BOTH in 5 mins on a warm day!

But what this doesn't tell you, is by moving the housing down, you are also lowering where the bump stop engages and could cause significant body damage.

Do you prefer HKS TI or Tomei TI?
@TunerTestDrive2 ай бұрын
I like them both for different reasons. I was never a fan of how the HKS Ti looked in the bumper but it always sounded great. The Tomei looks better to me in the bumper but I don’t think it sounds as good as the HKS. The Tomei is much lighter weight than the HKS since all the piping is titanium.

@qwerty75484011 күн бұрын
You’ve been doing it right. Adjust the spring to set ride height and corner weight the car. The bottom mount is for droop and compression setting. Adjusting the bottom just pulls the lower arms further into the compression stroke of the damper.

If I put my timing at TDC and do this it will not stay at TDC right? The marking on the HB move from 0 to about 15 degrees clockwise of that. Is there anyway to move the crank and cams back to to TDC after using this?
@TunerTestDrive2 ай бұрын
Once the bolt is loose, you can still use the crank bolt to turn the crank to either check valve clearances or reset the timing.

Adjustability is all in the pedal on the far right side of the driver floorboard. Hope this helps!
@qwerty7548403 ай бұрын
Everyone gets this wrong. Bottom mount is used to set droop at ride height. You should have 2/3 bump and 1/3 droop at your desired height. Then you fit the spring and use the spring mount to set ride height. There’s no real preload as the springs are linear. Otherwise how would you corner weight the car? All you’re doing in the video is moving the bottom arm up or down relative to the top mount.

finally someones said it... all these other comments praising this video for teaching the wrong method???
@qwerty75484011 күн бұрын
@@dandingerat yeah I’m saying the video is wrong. You should use spring perch to set ride height. Bottom mount is for setting the droop/compression.
