I believe I've seen some Blasian couples in movies and tv shows...these are at the top of my head (That I've watched): One Night Stand, (Wesley Snipes and Ming Na Wen) Watermelon Women, Mississippi Masala, Romeo Must Die (these are from the 90s), then Lovecraft Country, Da 5 Bloods, The Love Birds, and so on.

Spoilers!!! I actually liked that they didn’t end up together. It was about to be another teenage movie about friends who realize they’re in love with each other. There are enough of those already.

I mean...what was the point of the whole movie if they don't get together? This isn't supposed to be reality TV. No one is here to see a "realistic" portrayal of anything. There usually has to be a POINT of a story like this. If they don't get together what is the point of watching their whole story? Idk...feels like a big waste of time to me.

@ It doesn’t have to be realistic. Just not the same story every single time. Two young people are emotionally smart enough to know that their friendship is so much stronger than any romantic relationship they could have. Refreshing? Yes. Realistic? Not so much. Lol

@@Haven161 I get it, but where is the ending? What is the point of the entire story? It's just...there is no point. Two people meet and decide they are friends. There is no story there. Sorry, I'm a writer professionally, and that's where my irritation comes from I guess. There is zero point to this story IMO. But if you enjoyed it and others did then I guess that's all that is needed. For me, it was lacking and I felt like I wasted my time.

@@terri639 I agree with you, the ending was lacking. I consider movies like this as one of the many fluff pieces Hollywood has been coming out with for the past few years and therefore don’t ever expect much. I guess that’s how you end up appreciating certain aspects of a story but not the story as a whole.

They ‘realise’ and agree that their feelings are completely platonic, the kiss was weird and that they definitely shouldn’t date.
