If STYKS is going in chronological order and the last song (Kronos/Rhea) covered Zeus freeing his siblings and the Titanomachy, then this sounds to me like after the lots are drawn and Hades takes the Underworld. It sounds like Hades trying to convince himself that he is the Lord of the Dead and the God of Wealth, he has everything he needs and shouldn't want for more. But Hades isn't revered like the others, he's feared and reviled. And he's alone (since this is before Persephone). Not hard to see how resentment and envy could build up.

Hey all ! Thank you for the support on this cover over the last 7 years. Since it’s gained a little more traction again recently, just wanted to clarify some things: YES, as quite a few of you have noticed, this song is HEAVY on autotune! Ironically, I was actually 17 when making this, and had absolutely no recording or digital music-making skills, so I turned on elements like pitch correction out of pure naivety and a lack of confidence in my skills lol It’s crazy how robotic this sounds, and I’ll never understand how I didn’t hear it back then 😂 Fortunately, I’ve learned my lesson, but I’ve decided to keep this video up since it’s helped people prepare for roles, auditions, etc!
