I think anything close to MSRP is fair right now. $140 is the current market price for paldea evolved and I don’t think there’s going to be another reprint coming. If surging sparks get a reprint then I think the price will definitely drop closer to MSRP ($161) or even down in the $140-150s. But that requires patience. If you want one to rip for fun over the holiday then I would say $175 is actually not bad -Considering current Surging Booster boxes are going for $210 usd.

I just got an email today that my case of the Prismatic ETB got cancelled and refunded due to a “lower allocation”but it’s stupid cuz I know the reason why; I secured it for a low price. That’s why they cancelled mine 🤦♂️

Yeah. I believe we will see mass cancellations on these Pre-orders from many other small local/online shops going forward. Very unfortunate. But that is why we don’t recommend placing pre orders with online shops without a good reputation. Try big box retailers in the future to avoid this type of situation. Sorry about your terrible experience with that shop.

19:24 this right here. I was able to get PC ETB cases on eBay up to about two months ago for like 240, and I already had a case from PC a while back. Also, I was new to the hobby last year and didn't really get the 151 hype or understand the PC ETB info. Are prices way too high this point to pick up a case for about <900 ?

Thanks for watching! I personally would not invest in 151 Pc ETBs for $900 or more. I would save that money for future PC etbs as an example. It would be about $240 per case with more %growth potential. But if you want it for your personal collection then I would consider pulling the trigger.

That’s a possibility because of the entire eeveelution line up SIRs and masterball reverses. The only glaring difference is that prismatic evolution is a specialty set. No booster boxes. So we shall see!

All depends on pull rates in the end. And if English is anything like Japanese, or anything like crown zenith, SIRs will be 1/9 packs.

If the English (which I don’t think they will) won’t follow the Japanese set in terms of pull rates then it will definitely be exceeding better than ES. Only thing that’s holding currently for ES is due to a huge Nostalgic opinions.

I dont think so. Each have their own uniqueness for the card set. BUT ES still have much more choice then pramatic. booster box advantage , ALT ART. more card choice for collector . but Pramatic is just eevee which is their main.

@@IneptCardCollector the original comment sounds like recency bias to me. Hidden Fates was THE hot set in 2020. Before SwSh alt arts it was as good as it got. The Shiny Vault was incredible and ETB prices were way more than they are even now. It turns out the smarter money was going into the Tag Team sets and even Evolutions, all of which were near or at retail price at the time. People should really take note of that and buy the SwSh alt art/TG sets that are still affordable. It'll be interesting to see where 151 goes over the next couple of years and how it compares because there are definite similarities.

Yes I did! Look deep into the market conditions and data to see the correlation. Hidden fates was released right before the 2020 Pokemon boom, 151 was released before the 2024 Pokemon boom. Both sets featured fan favorite gen 1 Pokemon, People were tripping over themselves getting both sets at the hype, and both sets were heavily printed.

@@jessepeng1317 that's interesting, but the difference is it doesn't have just some of the 151 pokemon in the set it is the original 151 lol today's boom could be attributed to the release of 151 and how many new and old people it brought to or back to the hobby, that wasn't what hidden fates did. Another difference in today's market is even though it's been printed alot, the rip and shippers of today are going through cases of pokemon cards a night.

My mom told me back when I was a little kid and Pokémon came out it took over the country 😂 my mom and dad & us kids had gone on a trip I believe to Wisconsin back then to see family and we went to Toys R Us up there and the craze hadn’t reached that part of the country so booster boxes and packs were cheap still. My mom said she asked the cashier what’s the limit on how many she can buy? The cashier looked backed confused like what do you mean? 😂 she says back there’s no limit so my mom bought about 60 packs 😂😂 Thankfully growing up I was very fortunate to have parents that would do just about anything to make us happy. As an adult it’s crazy sometimes to hear stories from my mom like this, I’m just always saying to her how spoiled we were 😅 sadly I didn’t realize just how good life was back then. Wish I had not taken all the things my parents did for us kids for granted. Wish I could just go back and spend time with em, knowing how meaningless possessions are now I wish I would’ve treasured my time with my parents more back then.

I was just a nine year old kid in ‘99. I remember exactly my first time opening a 1st edition Pokemon booster pack my dad bought me from K Mart. If I could turn back time I would avoid giving my stupid brother my collection. I had a full page dedicated to shiny charzard, venusaur, and blastoise. I could’ve been rich.
