I believe he's using the EMS Synthi for this one. I'm not sure if he's using anything else.

The Synths used are a mostly Serge Modular and an EMS Synthi, I have been told.

I know - well sorta - that he’s playing synth on this but isn’t his weapon of choice usually a guitar ? O’Rourke is like Robert Pollard or Conrad Schnitzler. His discography defies all common decency but I like everything I’ve heard him do whether it’s sound experiments or screeching feedback or soft rock hits of the early 70s (or close enough). I was crushed by a recent Pitchfork piece declared him uncool and his admirers fools for ever believe he wasn’t. When Pitchfork speaks I meekly obey but just this one time I’m going to stick by the demoted artist no matter what Pitchfork says. This makes me think of the early Krautrock days. Love it.
