I think there are better ways to run the playoffs (for example I don't like the fact that here the regular season performance isn't rewarded very much) but it's waaaay better than the current format

Like the creativity. Just not in motorsports. Playoffs (if any) need to be extremely simple to understand. The simplest format is a full-season format, obviously. Having a system that separates the top group at the end and lets them compete for the title is about as simple as you can make it. 2004-2013 used variations of this format and it was both exciting and still legitimate.

I don't see any reason to have 2 rounds in a championship format. Much less have fixed point distribution to seeded drivers regardless of comparative performance in previous rounds.

Look up the 2011-2013 chase format. That was a good format that we should go back to. This proposal doesn't reward winning and still gives 50% of the points competing drivers a shot at the title (which is crazy).

And is this based on the same old stage racing..if so do not throw cautions at end of stages ..reward points but don't stop with caution make green flag pit stops

You know what they should do? A Latford system. You know a points system that properly rewards points to the best driver and whoever has the most at the end of the year gets this.... IS THE CHAMPION. It works everywhere else. Maybe Nascar should give it a try

Knowing you're hard on throttle, it's hard to say something like "point it lower, come off straighter," but I think you just kept a little too much wheel in it into the front stretch early in the sprint. To be fair, I'd probably be doing the same, I just know what works better "in theory" lol In the heat of competition (especially in motorsport where you try to only go 95% most of the time), knowing you have the better piece causes you to push the limits harder, trying to hurry and make the pass and bring it back down to 95%. I've learned that these are the best times to use discipline and focus on "better entry, better line, better exit" instead of carrying speed. That might have helped when you went to make your move and got loose. You hadn't entered that low yet, and the way the car settled (or tried not to) getting into 3 was foreign. Using a lap to set that move up might have worked for you. But I don't mean to come on here and coach, honestly you'd probably spank me in a race lol I enjoyed the video! Shame how the battle ended, but hey... still better than Forza lol
