Talk about a musical match made in heaven Chick Corea and Flora Purim, at times I dream of this song on clear days…

This was the album that killed RTF, they disbanded after this nightmare of an album. The nail in the coffin was their fusion rival, Weather Report releases the the greatest Fusion album of all time, Heavy Weather, in the same year. At least Corea made a good adjustment and released The Mad Hatter after this, the masterpiece being Humpty Dumpty on that album.

A great album, it’s not up as one of my favourite Return To Forever albums but it’s still fantastic. The title track is beautiful.

The most superb female voice I have ever heard and I am 85 years old. Isaw her in person in the 70's and her performance still resonates with me. Additionally she had the dignity and class of an African Princess!

..??.. To be who I am I this world Is all I ask I can't pretent to be Something that i am not And I won't wear a mask Mh You touch my faith with love in your eyes But will you touch my heart with the understanding that it takes To realise That I can't play your part There's this need to be true To myself Make my own mistakes I don't want to lean too hard on someone else No matter what it takes Soooo If your sure it's love Just be sure it's love For me Cause I am what I am .... Theres this need to be more Than a reflection of a man

I've known and loved Chuck Mangione's version since my dad bought the album when I was 7 years old. I had never heard the lyrics until now. Adds a beautiful dimension and she sings it beautifully -- no filters, no Autotune, just a real pretty voice.

A lot of out of tune singing on RTF albums. Also, a lot of needless, inorganic modulations and rhythm changes that ruin what would've been excellent tunes.

Such an amazing song which shows a tender Jaco! As a fellow bi-polar artist I get the manic Jaco but rare to find the depressive Jaco! Forever love what we shared and lost with this genius!
