The recording was completed but sadly never released. The Arts council had ownership of the masters but no longer have them?

I am happy that I lived with such greatness in my life, I met Bheki in the 80,s during my exile years. Bheki Mseleku thought me how to play Jazz drumming, he also thought to be spiritual inclined. I remember I was with one renowned pianist by the name of Michele Petrucini, I told him that I was expecting Bheki Mseleku. He said to me, I have to live. I asked him why, he said, I am afraid of Bheki, I said to him, he won't hurt you. His answer was ; the guy is the best pianist I ever came across. I said he is my colleague, you will meet him in person today. Indeed they met. All is history. I pay my respect to the Legendary pianist of his kind. I hope the creator will one day bless us with pianist like Bheki Mseleku. May his great Soul rest in Peace Love and Peace to him ❤

Despite my heartfelt empathy for my South African brothers who "suffered" in exile, truth is that they were used by the ANC's British controllers to add more fuel to the flames in bringing down the stubborn Nationalist government. They were mere pawns, used more to raise awareness of apartheid's atrocities than to help the exiled ANC raise funds; their music equally was used and misappropriated largely for the benefit of the Controllers. Upon the return of this upper crust - Hugh, Jonas, Miriam, Caiphas - to the imminent "new SA" in the late 80s, a toxic situation arose between these "exiles" and the "inziles" - the ones who remained in SA and suffered infinitely more than the "sponsored runaways". They also benefitted handsomely from the newly crowned ANC government while the "inziles" were muzzled and neglected. The resentment is still felt today. Many of the lower crust exiles lived miserably abroad, and some became hobos and died as paupers, with their Anglo-Saxon wives only using them to birth "Coloured" children. This pitiful juxtaposition needs to be put on the world stage in film and/or literature form.

Nice to know that you are still playing I can still remember those times that you came round my house with Dave and Tony and played my Mums old 1947 Godfrey upright piano when I was first learning how to play and improvise and was going to Howard Riley's jazz piano class at Goldsmiths in the early nineteen eighties, may all great things come to you Adrian, a message from Graham now living in Thailand.

This is a missing link in the local musical landscape. Many of us who have followed and monitored the development of jazz as an artform from childhood are delighted to see this in the public forum.. Jazz was part and parcel of township culture and spirit. In Meadolands there were many commited jazz group like Jazz Klooks and Jazz Zionist that was led by Boggart Ngwasana a very gifted vibrophonist. The information on this group's is with the older generation and not easily accessible to the current generation. SABC should be having the information sitting in their library it only needs a researcher to bring it to the public.

Bheki Mseleku, a pianistic master the world has yet to realise the true magnitude of. There's the expression that says a prophet is not without honour except in his own country... But thankfully Mseleku's torch-bearing genius is celebrated in his homeland and he's a hero for a legion of musical creatives and fans in South Africa. We'll be drawing long still from this well.

Susaye Greene's vocals are unbelievably stunning and the best part of her performance is watching her feel those notes and hit them floorless. Her octaves are off the chart . Can't help feeling she mixes Jazz Opra soul funk blues all rapped up in a bow of pure class . This is my favourite version of this song . Courtney's name became huge after this classical cover . Stunning version !👌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
