Whilst I love the big families, the amount of money spent on xmas/birthday presents is mind boggling. Kids lose appreciation for things when given too much in one go.

Roy & Emma, I was sorry to hear that you left the church but you are not alone. There are others who have left for the same reason. In a lot of families today there is someone who is Gay & my family is no exception but while many have come to accept the gay life style, according to the Bible, God has not. It clearly states that 2 men or 2 women are not to sleep together. For those who have an attraction to the same sex it can be a very difficult cross to bear but one that God wants them to do. We wouldn’t be lenient of an adult sleeping with a child or a person having sex with a beast but there are people with that inclination. God destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah because of the sexual perversion there. It’s not a coincidence that the one city is called Sodom. As we get closer to the 2nd coming people in the world will become more perverse just as they did in the time of Noah. I know it might seem as though the Church is being unkind toward Gays but they cannot go against the Proclamation of the Family. In all Churches you will hear & see questionable things among members because we are all sinners. Please think about why you joined the Church in the first place? Did you receive a testimony of the Book of Mormon etc.? If so maybe you should rethink your decision. I hate to see you throw the baby out with the bath water. Good Lord !! How or why would you want so many children?? The Sullivan's are up there in age and still popping them out. I'd be worried about the baby being born with down syndrome. I just want to say that I am very sorry about your negative experiences with the lds church. I belong to the church, and have never heard of the church not talking about sexual abuse/assault.
