When you have a little utility van it's like people can't imagine that there would be a person sleeping back there. One morning a contractor walked up to me as I was letting my dog out to ask about Vinny. He said he had a van like mine and was thinking about making it a camper too but couldn't envision how that would look.

We had our concrete tank pumped in March and it turns out our leech field is impacted with roots and biomat. So I put a powerful sump pump in the secondary compartment and ran 200 feet of 2-inch PVC pipe from the pump into our back 15 acres. The sump pump has been pumping the effluent water out into our forest since March as I give our leech field time to dry out and hopefully rebound from all the chemicals I've put into it. I first poured a gallon of root killer into the lines, then I poured a gallon of biomat digestive bacteria into the lines. Then after a month I poured a gallon of concentrated sulfuric acid into the lines. I'm waiting until mid-summer before I remove the sump pump to see if all my efforts have rejuvenated the leech field.

I hope it works! Sucks to have to use a pump to get it moved. I was terrified that the county would make me use a pump to move everything UP the hill in the back to another septic tank. $$$$$$ not to mention that they said if the pump fails an alarm would trigger and I would have something like 48 hours to get it going again or they would come after me.

I went to CO (from 500ft elevation at home to 8k )and got sick..nausea...headache..black spots in vision.. confusion.. short of breath while even walking slow. Really scary and i went pale as a ghost. Had no appetite and inability to sleep . Ruined the whole trip. I statted feeling better after a small descent and Iaid down and use the oxygen can , but was still having symptoms which kept me to the couch .I used the cans the rest of the day along with inhaler and ibuprofen started to habe some improvement next day. Then, flew home . Felt better immediately. Idk how to visit that area again. Maybe its better to drive in? Slower ascent.. idk

@@SkiPlayLiveTV I think that is the key! Gradual ascent. Or maybe driving in instead of flying. Certainly takes a lot of time! Glad to be back in the low-lands but hopefully will visit again someday and be more prepared!

Great review! Do the non insulated bottles keep liquids cold for any length of time? Or is it worth just doing the insulated version?
@SkiPlayLiveTV4 ай бұрын
If you're getting a metal bottle, insulated is definitely the way to go. I do have some Nalgene bottles that carry more water and are lighter in weight so depending on the adventure I can mix it up.

@SkiPlayLiveTV5 ай бұрын
That's all part of it. Sleep more, drink water, skip caffeine and hottubs. Avoid all things that dehydrate you until you acclimate. Boost helps get you more Oxygen when you feel weak, dizzy, light headed, having trouble breathing, etc. If you were having those symptoms on the ski hill, patrol might sit you down and connect you to an oxygen tank.

Need a little wider ski? Sweet, another reason to buy another pair of skis!
@SkiPlayLiveTV6 ай бұрын
I would definitely go wider. Just watch the weight of that ski. It's a chore to slog through slush so adding a wide, heavy ski adds to the work. Unfortunately, a wide super light/soft ski could throw you around too much.

So I decided to take the plunge on these boots. I have a couple of other sets of boots from K2 and Tecnica and I thought I would give these a shot based on reviews I read. What a mistake Unfortunately purchasing these boots directly from Dahu was an even bigger mistake. It should tell you everything you need to know when the manufacture puts 100% Fit Guarantee on the page but when you read the returns they state no returns whatsoever if you even use the boots on one run and they are terrible. They don’t stand behind their product and that tells you everything about the boots and the company. To me these boots have exactly the problems you would expect. Lack of control of the skis being the worst part. I am an advanced skier who has being skiing every year since a child and I ski as many days as possible a season. That being said these had to be the most out of control boots I have ever felt. They felt heavy, my ankles felt like they were getting pushed around all over the place. They moved in points that no regular ski boot I have tried on before would. They actually felt unsafe to me and I skipped any additional hard runs and came down blues to get them off my feet.

We pulled the concrete lid out when I did the initial repair. The pump is still going strong and I have yet to pump the tank. I'm sure it's coming but so far so good. I still drop live bacteria in the tank once every couple of months.

Yep, Health Dept. scratched their heads and said we don't see any issue here. They signed off on the replacement of the chamber/French drain gravel, I closed everything up and haven't had an issue since. Literally, have not even needed to pump the tank since that year and we have five grown people living in the house. I would like to credit the Genie for this as I'm pretty sure this is the longest I've gone without pumping since I've owned the house!
