Why auto manufacturers still put chrome on cars amazes me. For one it isn't chrome, it is silver painted plastic. What I do to prevent scratches from dirty wash mitts is to buy several wash mitts. Also it’s faster as well since I don’t have to spend time washing the mitts in between. After I’m done I toss the mitts and the microfiber towels in the washer and then tumble dry

for lexus the smart key has settings, hold down the lock and unluck buttons together for 3 secs and u will hear some beeps now when u grab the handle all doors will unlock. again this is a lexus feature, not sure if it will work for toyota

Nice job Nicole! Your wash method is almost identical to mine. I do use a VERY soft long handle brush to wash the wheels & wheel wells. With the brush I can scrub the shiny metal wheels & then tires. I don’t really encounter any brake dust or I would spray on a pre-soaker. If the wheels are really dirty, I would use the pre-soaker.
