Kinda just sending a thought into the void w this comment but I feel almost anchored? in a way to her work, and the lens she looks through or perhaps the foci, rather, that she channels her emotions through. It’s so grounding and centering, yet at the same time lifts you off your soles and brings you into the slipstream dimension between dimensions where time stops and thought flourishes at one with heart & body in the most beautiful, undisturbed (peaceful) fashion conceivable

Social anxiety will do that. I can definitely relate. I love that she goes on stage and performs. That takes courage, period, to put yourself out there like that. To do it when you have crippling anxiety, it seems almost insurmountable. She has alot of strength, and obviously loves playing her music enough to overcome her fears. You can definitely see it in her interviews, though. I find it endearing, personally.

Amber Beaton Yeah, I can hear that, but I don't think it is someone's nose. It is a combination of her talking and shuffling around, because she is so neurotically shy. It does sound like a second mic is picking up crackling sounds. But it seems to sync with her body movements. And it is only like 2 seconds. I hope you watched the rest of it.

@MonstrikusElectricus8 жыл бұрын
+Peter Kiraly it's not a chicken leg, it's ψ, the 23rd letter of the Greek alphabet. It´s the root of the word psyche (soul), and on this account it is often used as an icon for psychology.
@kiralypeter888 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I just looked up the Old Hungarian writing and both protection and knowledge symbols are there in the forms of a full and a half chicken leg. Interesting!
@lotusflowers56446 жыл бұрын
Péter Király Ψυχή (pronounced pseche, the p not being silent) is how you'd spell the worl soul in modern Greek, if that's any helpful. I also know the word psyche has some kind of deep meaning related to character for psychology and philosophy. In modern greek we use the word ψυχοσυνθεση (psychosynthesis - the composition of the soul) instead, reffering to psyche.

@sercastamere98539 жыл бұрын
Raffa Jaffa She connects to many different areas of music, so there are many, but none quite have the mood she does. If you want to go into more *Electronic areas: LA Vampires & Zola Jesus, Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, Radiohead, Robot Koch, and White Ring are good starting points. *Black Metal: Walknut, Wolves In the Throne Room, and Lunar Aurora are reverb-drenched and can get you in the same headspace as Wolfe. *Others: Snow Ghosts, Matt Elliot, Sunn O))), Russian Circles, Eivør, Agalloch, SubRosa, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and Deftones.

Her music is too dark and too sad to be goth. Goths are happy funny and ironic (in kinda darker way)
@sucktastic10 жыл бұрын
I think that's an important comment. Watch Siouxie or Smith in their prime and they are oddly, on certain tracks, happy. Chelsea reminds more of something like Chopin's nocturnes - eerie and melancholic and total in their seriousness. Each have their own beauty, of course. And I love Chelsea's music.
