the top of the canopy was actually clear….it was the front hood left after the pilots kicked ozt the sode glass panels and only kept the doors…but maybe the pictures i know are misleading,

mitor, battery, micro servos…making ghe control surfaces move…and OFF WITH THE HEAVY SMALL SQUIRREL, nice job, but also as always very idealized finish….the airplanes back then were very roughly built! repaired and patched together,,,,the fotos available tell a hillarious story about „ smoothe“ surface finish! 🤣👌

It’s not possible (on a full size Spitfire) to have gun and ammunition panels sitting on the wing as shown here. They will slide off.

Why so much rust ? Did they build the airplane from scrap-metal ??? Or did they use aluminium ( as usual for planes ) ? But aluminium will never rust ! So I ask : why ???

the plane has a structure in tubular carbone steel, the panel are in wood but the is in carbone steel. I recommand the book : Horten Ho 229 Spirit of Thuringia: The Horten All-wing Jet Fighter (on amazon, you can find it)

Good model, but franche machine gun browning (12,7) hase a left load side and 3 antennes it's for command VAB, and this is simple for one combat group. And place for first antenne it's just behind a driver, place where are they placed it's place for grand antenne what you can use just in static position.

Ancien pilote de vab au temps où il y avait le service militaire. L'embase d'antenne que vous avez côté gauche derrière le pilote cela est l'emplacement de la trappe de gasoil 🫡

Superb Build - Great video. Without the BlackBirds - world policies and relations would be so different now. The SR-71A BlackBirds are still futuristic looking. If someone who didn't know anything about military planes and was just showed a pucture of the BlakBirds - they would never believe they were designed in the 50's and entered service in the mid 60's.

What is that you used to put the canopy on?

I used CA glue but you can also use white glue (it is longer and need a canopy suporting while drying.

Weathering the fuel tanks makes sense but ordinance (excluding older bombs) isn't typically weathered. At least not missles.
