Haven't read the novel, but certainly looks like an interesting film! Apparently its set in the 1950's which explains the more vintage feel of it.

My real questions are about Isaiah and Ross.... What trigged Isaiah? Could it be the same kind of brainwashing that happened to Bucky in Captain America 2: Winter Solider? As for Ross... did he always have the Hulk Serum on hand? Did he take it by choice or did he get infected? What did you think about this trailer? Will you check it out?
@LarryWatches5 күн бұрын
Okay, here is my final guess...something Taka's family sides with Kimba (that's what I am calling the white lion). Taka's family and Kimba's pride loose and maybe have to stay out there. They have hope that one day he will take his rightful place.....Sarabi's pride is actually at Pride Rock. Mufasa joins that pride and becomes King eventually?

I've been a Dylan fan for about 55 years. The movie looks great. Chalamet definitely captured Dylan's essence. My only fear is that they'll focus only on the songs that are known by young people now, which, in my opinion, aren't even his best work.

Salt-pickled noses poured out of the treasure chest. Toyotomi Hideyoshi gave the order to cut off the nose of a Korean person because it was difficult to bring him their head. There is currently a graveyard in Japan where the noses of 126,000 Koreans are buried. They call it the Ear Grave because they fear that calling it the Nose Grave might sound cruel.

The Disney 1954 adaptation has generally been the best, but there were two TV versions in the 90's, one with Michael Caine. This looks good fun and focuses on Nemo's early days. If I recall the book, he details escaping prison and how he built the Nautilus in secret but this looks like they steal it?...Anyway, looks great, hope they try Journey to the Centre of the Earth too. The 1959 one is a gem, other adaptations vary from average to downright awful.
@LarryWatches16 күн бұрын
thank you so much for this comment, the idea of the Nautilus sounded so familiar to me. I feel like growing up I must have seen the TV version at some point, but can't really remember! Im looking forward to checking it out
@mark-nm4tc16 күн бұрын
@@LarryWatches I think they were both, oddly, in 1997. One features Michael Caine and the nautilus resembles the Disney version, the other features Ben Cross and the sub in that is more in line with Verne's description in the novel. This series looks like they spent a ton of cash on it, glad to see Jules Verne stuff back on our screens after too long an absence:)

Great reaction. Actually I think this is the music that sounds exactly like the trailer for « raised by the wolves » and there are pretty good chances some actors working on others HBO/MAX series are also doing this show. It’s already happened with 2 former actors from Game of Thrones who are now the main actors from The last of us…

It has come out in Belgium last weekend, I've binged the whole thing in two days! It starts a little slow but then it gets better and better. It has that old school campy vibes, for me it's like a mix of Sinbad, Robin Hood, Pirates of the Caribbean with a touch of Doctor Who! Really fun adventure that you can watch with the whole family. I strongly recommend to watch it, it's just so much fun and I'm really hoping for Season 2!!! It totally deserves Season 2. I've watched ot on Amazon Prime and it has already number 2 in the Top 10 of Amazon Prime in Belgium, really hoping it will be just as succesful in other countries!

Blight was simply the name the writers of Batman Beyond gave to Dr. Phosphorous. Phosphorous was a pretty cool villain from back around the 90s and he wasn’t used in BTAS. The Batman Beyond crew wanted to use him but were trying to use purely original villains for the show, so they just renamed Dr. Phosphorous to get around him not being their original character. TL;DR Blight isn’t a real character, it’s just a variant name for Dr. Phosphorus.

I’m very curious and find it strange that a character like Circe in this show before Wonder Woman herself, we see her costume cearly now, do you think she will get another one or are they actually gona let Anya Chalotra wear that in Live Action, I get that they want it to have a bit of wonder woman vibe but it look too revealing for a real person to wear for me.
@LarryWatches24 күн бұрын
Yes Circe before Wonder Woman. I bet we will even get than Amazons show before Wonder Woman as well. Kindof similar to James Gunn's announcements of Deathstroke/Bane and Dynamic Duos (with dick grayson and jason todd) ... before there is a Batman. I hope that they change the outfit for live action, I completely forget that characters will cross over between live action and animation. thanks for commenting!
