Maybe the rules have changed but technically they will only rent this kart to you if you own and race one yourself or if you go through their Karting Super School.

I never like to see kart drivers get hurt. I'm glad you will be ok, and I wish you well. It looked like when you slowed to prevent hitting the kart in front of you, the kart behind you caught your right rear tire, causing you to flip. I don't think there is any blame to lay. This sort of thing happens often in the first few turns of a race start. I'm subbing, and look forward to seeing you race. I'm trying to find an LO206 that needs work so maybe I'll be able to get in some local action. The budget and my wife say no. But I have found, where there is a will there is a way. It just might take me awhile. ;) Good luck! And keep kicking ass!

@@12th.jahlil I DID! I just got it yesterday. I purchased a ready to race 2011 Righetti LO206 with a lift stand. I'm excited to take it on the track, but I'm going to spend some time and do a tear down inspection and make sure it's all good. ;)

@@12th.jahlil After today's tear down, I'm convinced the previous driver didn't know much about front ends and carburetor adjustments. The front steering was so out of wack, I don't know how he could have drove it. The spark plug was completely full of black carbon, It was running way too rich. After a few hours I got the front end back in proper specs. The carb will have to wait for another day, but I got a couple tuning tricks up my sleeve that could at least put me in the middle of the pack. ;)

Former driving coach for Porsche and a guy who has been on and off in karts for 5-6 years. Love the fact that you captured this comparison and enjoyed watching you react to what is truly one of the most intense racing machines anyone can own. Remember that F1 guys and other top level drivers prefer to do this in the off season and with good reason. It is not easy and it takes a ton of focus. Looking to get into a CR125 shifter soon, glad you had a few proper moments. Most people would spin, so you should really pat yourself on the back that you managed to keep it on track given your experience level. Love videos like this. Hope you get a KT100 or HPV kart. Much less intense, but still challenging to drive and a good dose of adrenaline. Cheers!

You obviously have good race craft and a fast kart. You kept moving up. If the race had been longer, could you have won? The camera mounted on the kart is awfully jittery and image stabilization (if there is any) can't keep up. I mount my Sony action cam on the side of my helmet at about cheek level. Much smoother and still good low angle for dramatic effect. I'm also impressed at the lack of wind noise, allowing us to hear a satisfying low engine rumble and occasional tire squeal.

I think that's also the difference between a 4 stroke and a 2 stroke. Two Strokes are going to be way more fun because of the Powerban. I've seen one of these things go 125mph. There's no way in hell I would go that fast being that low to the ground and probably felt like he was going 300 mph.

@Julianstensen2 жыл бұрын
As a new driver to kz karts coming from car racing, I tend to put my thumbs inside the wheel, but I don't see a problem with that. What really is a problem is how he shifts his hands around the wheel, going 1 o'clock and 7 o'clock setting up for a right hand corner, that way he will never be able to correct a drift, and a shifter kart drifts A LOT 🤣 also, you never run out steering movement keeping your hands in one place.
