They really started in 1971 when Paul and Mick toured together in their bands (Peace supporting Mott The Hoople)

Yeah... a melody and great lyrics...so many other great songs written ... like from the brain and heart and talent. NOT on a computer. And sing on key in a live performance. Not just awesome but genuinely organically awesome. Love Bad Company for decades now. Respect. Live for the music!!
