Vilayat & Imrat Khan's father Enayat expired keeping them as young, continued course from Sitar-Benjamin/Gomes father John Gomes (hence Ud. title+), the last being Enayat father's student. All Etawah gharana, right? And Ud. Benjamin was music directors for Bangla films: 1)Ulka (or, meteor / Meri Surat Teri Ankhen, original), 2)Satyajit Ray's Jalsaghar (here, chief instrumentalist), Natun Fasal, & 4)Swapno Niye. His (Taltalla, Calcutta-16, behind Police station) 'usual' tabla accompanist was Ud. Karamat Tullah Kha-Saheb (Ripon St., Calcutta-17 now). Guruji's son is, Lalit Gomes / Soulful sitarist. His tabalist took taalim from late Karamatullah). Bangla, India, & SHARE globally plz.❤

@ronniedrozario8883 absolutely right in fact Enayet Khan gifted sitar to Bengal and Karamat Sab gifted tabla to Bengal Enayet Khan had so many students Even women in those days learnt from Enayet Khan Enayet Khan s untimely death was one of the greatest loss in the music world as was said by his best friend Ustad Hafiz Ali Khan father of Amjad Ali Khan

I feel lucky to have heard him live years ago in Patna. One of the few and most melodious Tabla players of Banaras Gharana. Amazing experience! ❤❤❤

It was my grand opportunity that I was present on that grand evening at ITC SRA. I could see the maestro in my own eyes !! The experience could never be forgotten. 🙏 🙏 Before the programme Ustad ji felt uneasy and uncomfortable a little. The news reached to the audience and everyone got tensed if they could be able to listen to Him or not. But Ustad ji finally appeared on the stage and... the remaining was a history !!🙏
