Love this stuff. I still have a Fleischmann 125/2 that I got for Christmas in 1955 (still in great condition) and I recently acquired a very nice 130/2. I'm using either methylated spirits or Bix gas burner to fire.

There is a particular reason that steam engines was used so widely under the industrial revolution, to propel huge factories with a lot of machines/tools, just like your beatiful setup. Steam engines are relatively low in BHP, but they produce an extreme amount of torque! This is the reason why they can pull so much, but at low RPM💪🏼

Nice! I read a story once where the night foreman at a ammunition factory during the war always had the best productivity. He was a composer and could hear the melody of the machines. He could find and fix a problem just by listening to the tune. Your shop has a wonderful tune here.

Are the Wilesco steam engines capable of running these workshops at a slower speed than this?
@MrBorinator5 жыл бұрын
Hello ll, It is indeed possible to run these workshops more slowly. The best way to do this is to run the pulleys from small to a larger one. You could also send less steam to the cylinder. Greetings, Rob.

Thanks Marco, That is right, it is one handle for two purposes.

It's very obvious it would stop Marco.. the pipe for the engine also runs the whistle.. and the steam is taking the easiest route!
@buijs19676 жыл бұрын
Het viel me echt op dat de 135/2 niet makkelijk opstart als de cilinder koud is. Dit gaat bij mijn kleinere Fleischmann's makelijker en bij Wilesco helemaal.
