Andrew. Thank you. I hope you have a good Christmas and I look forward to hearing some more in 2025. If you’re down towards Sussex let me know and come and have a go on the cathedral organ in Arundel.

Lovely organ, i have a very poor Yamaha keyboard i use as an organ.. Do you have an extra organ you are not using and are willing to give for free? Would really love to improve my organ skills

Definitely - she's given me John Rutter's Star Carol to accompany too!! Ok it's a simpler version of it but it's not easy. I might make it my next video.

Thanks to your suggestions. I hadn't really understood about reverb. I've just left the 'Cathedral' setting as it was after installation. I've obviously got more things to find out about the organ.

That's a good work! Are there suggestions for tempo and registration?

Very nice. I agree with the other comment that maybe there’s a bit too much reverb on the recording. Did you use the Great Trumpet as well Swell? That might be a bit too much. I find that with my Wyvern sometimes. (I’ve spent a long time adjusting the balance on my organ of each stop to get it to what I think is right - although I’m sure I adjust things and adjust them back again later!) It’s a great piece though and I have a whole book of Pachelbel which I use quite a bit.

A wonderful performance. Well played and, as someone who has followed you from day one, the improvement in your playing is so evident. I didn't particularly like the reeds either - possibly just use the Swell 8 reed rather than the full reed chorus. Then the 16 pedal reed has more impact. Also the reverb has muddied things especially the manual reeds. But still really well done. I'm going to play that at Christmas too.

Meu sonho ter um órgão desse, mas minha situação financeira não permite... kkkkk. Parabéns pelo órgão e pela interpretação. Deus abençoe grandemente.

Can I ask? Excuse me, but could you tell me how much you paid for that organ?

well done on putting yourself in the position to learn those pieces. I was in a similar position a few years back and realised my playing had slipped considerably. Like you, I've had to re-learn the organ. It'll push you along even more than you were. I'm sure you'll be fine.

You are an inspiration for me. After 4-5 years of learning to play piano (mostly classical repertoire), I am starting my organ learning journey. I am in my early 70s and I enjoy my life more than ever before. 😊 Michael

I enjoyed listening to this! I quite like the decrease at the end. It would work well as a prelude also - the decrease happening just as the last of the clergy take their positions. 😀

My late father played lots of pieces by TMP. As an arrogant youngster I really didn't appreciate these pieces. When he died I inherited a huge box of music much of which I discarded but I did keep the 3 volumes of TMP. Lovely, well crafted pieces that whilst lacking ambition actually work well. The book of concluding voluntaries has been a life saver on many occasions. Thank you for another lovely video.
