That's something they should did with the gen 7 protagonists since they were suppose to have visit parallel universe too with ultra whormhole and we already have Rainbow Rocket Giovanni with Ultra Beast. It's would be more logical for me. Even I tought it's a little weird that Florian is the first who talk about universe, in Pasio there no mention of that but more about timeline and time travel It's pretty the same concept I just think the gen 7 characters fit more about this stuff.

I really like how they differentiate Juliana from Florian. Juliana is the more regular perky school girls type, while Florian is the scholarly type. 🤭

Have to say...that lore about Miraidon being a "future form" of Cyclizar without noting if it's an evolution or regional variant (that's already confusing with Hisuian Sneasel being a thing, when Sinnoh only had regular Sneasels) is just over complicating things IMO, hehe...I would've accepted more if it was a Cyclizar from another dimension's future but it doesn't tell how a Pokemon turns to a separate species without evolving IMO (closest probably are maybe Genesect who came from an ancient Pokemon or maybe even Diance who apparently is a mutated Carbink yet not an evolution).

Diancie is pretty much exactly the sudden change idea that Florian was describing. While his other idea is essentially real-world evolution rather than Evolution in the Pokémon sense. Of course, he's just speculating as he says himself, the other possibility that you and the above two replies have mentioned seems most likely. To explain Sneasel, the environment of Hisui as it was is different from Sinnoh as it is now, so it favors different traits. So it's not too odd a different form of Sneasel would fit best at different times. There are several cases of this happening in the other direction, with Rattata, Sandshrew, Sandslash, Weezing, Corsola, Darumaka, and Wooper all having changed into regional forms from factors that developed after their arrivals in the respective regions.

Yeah, and among the Paradox Pokemon, Koraidon and Miraidon are the most complex ones. Being able to change their appearance for either battling or traversing the land. Also able to summon the weather and terrain to boost their power as they enter battle too. Guess that's why Koraidon and Miraidon are Legendary Pokémon
