I am heartbroken. Scott, I have listened to this ministry for many years now and consider this assembly as one of my go to places for truth and solid anointed teaching. I am so sad to see such a talented and gifted pastor leave so unexpectedly and abruptly. I thought you were just hitting your stride again. I have listened to probably 85% of your sermons since 2016 When you spoke about sermons coming and going, I have to disagree, as I do occasionally at some things. I love this ministry so much because I love the sermons. Sermons are not fleeting. 1 The sermon on the Mount. 2. Love, Dad. 3 Fire Season. 4 Water To Wine. The Road To Emmaus. Calling All Sheep. Summer Of Love. I am not comparing your sermons with Jesus’s but they come from the same place. The heart of Jesus. Isn’t that our goal and purpose. To be like him. Speak like Him. Teach like Him. Love like Him. And you did and still do. Can’t take that away from you or me or this assembly Those are just a few of my favorites. They’re not In any particular order just remember all of them being such Good News! A couple of the verses that you’ve famous for in my heart that you reminded me of …. Peace I leave you. Peace I give you. And this eye opener when you spoke about how we ARE the light of the world and the salt of the earth. Not will be someday but ARE. Such a beautiful thing to have to boost your self esteem when needed. Thank you Scott. Thank you for so many wonderful sermons that will live in my walk with our precious Lord and Savior. Beautiful, gentle reminders of how dearly loved we are. Enjoy your family and your new journey wherever it leads you. God bless you and keep you ❤😊 sincerely. Debbie from Wyoming

I'm out of the ECT camp but I don't know where I am. Even with annihilationism, doesn't God lose? Doesn't his will fail? Where is the victory? Its a small one, one that doesn't come close to his will to save his whole creation. It means satan was largely victorious, he took the vast majority of Gods creation from him.

My local pastor made a great point about this topic. Being lost and found. He said, “The only way you can be lost is, you have to be owned already”. Who’s going to look for someone or something that doesn’t belong to you? I loved that analogy ❤

NEEDTOBREATH❤ Always. The Lord will remind me of this message when I’m in the valley. This ministry (Zootown). Was the beginning of His new work in me. Starting with the series ‘Rabbit Trails’. Scottie. I know that since that series this ministry has been through the fire. But, you have never stopped pointing people to The Goodness of God. Wow. What a beautiful journey it’s been. I’m going through all the messages in my head that produced fruit for heart, mind and soul: Love, Dad Water to Wine Calling All Sheep Summer of Love The Road to Emmaus Fire Season Just to name a few. My point is this. Those messages were life changing then and still are today. Upside Down Kingdom led me to leaving my side of the aisle politically. It feels wonderful. I have no party, no candidate. I Have Peace. Thank you most of all for that. “Peace I Leave You. Peace I Give You. That my brother is Good News 😊

In Matthew 25:31-46, Then he will say to those on his left, “Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels…And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” The three uses of eternal above are all from aiōnion once again, meaning eternal or everlasting. Revelation 14:9-11 says, "If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath...and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have NO REST, day or night." If they were annihilated out of existence, then the statement no rest day or night makes no sense. Revelation 20:10 says, "And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be TORMENTED day and night FOREVER and ever. . .Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if ANYONE"S name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." By the way, the word torment is translated from the Greek word Basanismos, and it means to torture. It absolutely does NOT mean to annihilate and put out of existence.

Pastor, God bless you! Your church’s journey is inspirational. One clarifying note, no apostolic church (Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Catholic) would consider your communion to actually be the Eucharist because you don’t have Apostolic Succession. Pax Christi

My dear Brother Scott and the flock. I am praying for you. I converted from Calvary Chapel, 15 years as a protestant, and now I’ve been 18 years Orthodox Christian. I went to Calvary Chapel Bible College. I believe you are in a difficult spot. My heart goes out to you. Have you read the book, Becoming Orthodox, a journey to the ancient faith, by father Peter Gillquist (of blessed memory)? It’s beyond important to become canonical Orthodox. The only Church that has not gone out of communion with Christ, or itself is truly the Orthodox Church. It’s much needed for the healing of the soul (and body, many of times) to become fully canonically Orthodox under the blessing of a bishop of the Orthodox Church, and to follow the way of faith in the Holy Tradition passed down from the Saints and the fathers. The Divine liturgy, the divine prescribed, already formed Divine services, the rhythm of the feast days of the Church, the repentance, the confession, the holy hymns of the Church that expound and help us to understand the theology of the Church is much needed. The early writings of the Saints and fathers of the church have already laid the path. I pray that you truly discover the fullness of that path. We just finished Holy Week, and we have been brought to the depths through repentance and raised to the Heights through Christ’s Holy Resurrection. I pray one day you can really experience Holy Week, In the Orthodox Church. We Orthodox Christians throughout the whole world, are all following the same Divine Service books of the early Church. With love and prayers, in Christ, Brian Michael

This man does not understand biblical salvation. He does not understand what God does when he saves a person who s dead in sin. He does not understand what happens when God paces the Holy Spirit into the life of a believer. He does not inderstand the Grace of God or the Peace of God. He is still in the works salvation camp. He does not understand biblical doctrine. He is full of "religion" but not Christian doctrine. A Catholic would embrace this man's religion. He says he is all about Jesus, unfortunately his Jesaus is the the Jesus of the bible.

There are full pages on John MacArthur being heretical because John MacArthur is, in fact, heretical. It's not an insult, it's just a fact. John MacArthur holds to divine determinism. That was a doctrine of the pagan Stoic philosophers no less a person than St Irenaeus rejected.
@patrickbarnes98747 ай бұрын
It's interesting to me that after all the time talking about his research and desire to go back to the Christianity that Jesus founded, he then made the sign of the cross backwards and did not position his fingers properly. For any Catholic who might read this: Yes I realize from your perspective you saw him do it normally. It looks fine to you because you do it wrongly too. The Catholics made this change in the 15th-16th centuries. This is ironic because of course this is the same time as when Martin Luther did his thing. So it's interesting because Brian Zahnd is talking about how changes made by Protestantism made Christianity too thin and too modern. But directly after saying this, he then crosses himself in the changed nontraditional manner where they dropped the symbolism (in other words, made it thin and modern). He's doing, no doubt completely unconsciously, exactly what he he's disapproving of. It kind of goes along with a video where I saw Scott Klaudt talking about how Martin Luther changed things without authority and formed a new religion. It was the same situation then as it is in this conversation, because what Martin Luther was doing is forming a new religion out of an older one, but that older one was itself a reformation. What Martin Luther did to the Catholic church in 1517, the Catholic church itself had done in 1054. Unmarried priests, Purgatory, penal substitution, unleavened bread, the immaculate conception and assumption of Mary, divine simplicity, the beatific vision, etc. None of those things are original to Christianity. They're just as much alterations to the faith of the original apostolic church as are Martin Luther's denial of free will, the five solas, transforming religious artwork, removing books from the Bible, etc. This tendency to view things through the lens of a Western perspective rather than from a neutral standpoint is well known when it comes to secular philosophy, politics, and history. Eurocentrism. But when it comes to religion, it's not as well known and people don't tend to be as aware of it.

God bless you, Brother. I really admire your search for truth, love of Christ and the Scriptures, and charity toward us Catholics and our Orthodox brothers. In Frenchtown, west of Missoula, there is an Eastern Catholic Divine Liturgy on Sunday evenings (I’m not sure if it’s every Sunday or every other or once a month but it is regular). I think you might appreciate interacting with that community. It might grant you a still fuller vision of the Apostolic Faith.

Scott, I came across your "Where our tree got bent" videos randomly, but I've been captivated by your journey. This video in particular really touched my heart and I want you to know you and your church are in my prayers. By God's grace, this journey is being undertaken all over the country. Matthew Gallatin wrote a book about his journey to Orthodoxy from Protestantism entitled 'Thirsting for God in a Land of Shallow Wells". What a beautiful image of what is happening. Our protestant upbringing gave us a taste of living water (praise God!), but these wells are ultimately too shallow to quench our thirst; it is a bottomless thirst, that can only be filled by the infinite God revealed in Jesus Christ through his Church. Like you, my father died young, and a crisis of faith forced me to examine what I had been taught and raised with. Before embracing the Orthodox faith, I too had a mistaken idea of manhood and looked for it in all the wrong places, especially politics. Thank God for the image of true manhood that was in Christ. God bless you and the Zootown church.
