Hi, I hope this comments find you well. I’m willing to buy an e bike today. So I’m thinking about buying this one or the ridin’ times z8, both found in Amazon. What would you say it’s the best out of this two? Considering I live in a place with a lot of hills and it rains sometimes. Thanks

@@Paolocaves hello. Ok so performance wise they are the same both use the same battery and rear hub motor. The trafly has a nicer frame design. The z8 looks like it has a smaller frame and the Rider looks cramped. Last thing most Ebikes can handle rain just dry them well after. Just don't ride in a lot of water deeper than the hub motors. DO NOT BUY THIS EBIKE ! I bought this ebike based on some reviews. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with both: the ebike and the company. the design is really slick and this product might be great if it is working. Unfortunately, my ebike came with a defect. The left pedal does not align, making my foot slip out. Initially I was sent new pedals, then crank arm for replacement. Despite replacing, it did not fix the problem. I requested an exchange and the seller/vendor kept asking for images, videos, suggesting sending ebike to the bike shop etc. I waited 2 weeks for the replacement parts. Finally, when I decided to return it and asked for a refund, AMAZON 30-day return window has ended. At some point the PEDAL ASSIS stopped working, then after few days it worked again. The steel cargo rack is already rusting after one month. I reported all the problems but the vendor kept sending all kind of wired requests delaying the return. It seems like they did everything possible not to allow me to send this ebike back. Weirdly, on Amazon this ebike is sold for $650 + $200 shipping. On their website, you can buy one directly for $850 - super wired policy. They asked to send the bike only if it has no more than 10 miles, and obviously testing it after the pert replacement would take more than 10 miles riding all together. I ended up with the defective ebike and short of around $900. IT seems the bike has a defective crank shaft, but so far no replacement parts for that. Still negotiating with the vendor and it is super frustrating talking to people who pretend to be helpful, but they are doing everything possible to get rid of the customer. Asking the same questions over and over again. If you are looking for peace of mind, I recommend going with a different product. Especially if your bike will have any issues. Do not trust reviewers, as they only care to make a commission on your purchase and will not tell you anything negative (or true). WILDEWAY is certainly not the brand to go with :-(

Now that you have had plenty of time with the battery swap how do you feel about the swap,does the speed go up much and had it had any negative effects on the bike i am currently thinking of doing the same swap on my amyet s8 but am nervous to spend the money if its not worth it.
@EastCoastCurt

No negative effects. The bike gained faster acceleration, 2mph on the hill test and 2mph top speed over the 48v battery. Amyet seen my video and made a 52v version of the S8 called the S6 . I sold the S8 to a viewer to buy the S6. The cost of batteries is not worth it when you can buy a new model with dual 52v batteries.

Hey thanks foe sharing that ebike! appreciate it. yeah if you want to upgrade the shocks n fork, that should be easy enough & @ a good price! sadly the motor is 500 watt, that might be tougher to upgrade. I searched around on it a little bit & most I saw were advertised as 500 watt - a few mentioned the 750 peak a few had it listed as 700 watt :) the price was near 800, but hey I can do that. a little more reading it was peak output, sigh. so I will wait for it to have a bigger motor. Im not into top speed, just hill climbing ability. Ive had honda 50's that geared down were excellent trail bikes [but i was younger then, still big at 5'11"] today im 6'4" and older [64] that looks to be a contender ebike/scooter that kinda sorta fits me, it would be great for my wife tho. but Id loose her on the hills. bummer that lill bike will be a great bit of fun on many city streets & rail trails. a cool one for fishing trips along the river - yeah a great loaner & a good rental. you got a winner there. :) me(?) I like it all, but kinda lost my interest on the hill. everything else looks great and ez to upgrade "if" it becomes important to. I like it!

Howdy Curt, Another nice bike for the money. You just gotta make sure you tighten up all the nuts and bolts.😊 I wonder if it really has a 1500 watt hub motor. It is supposed to have 80 N.M. of torque too. Maybe it struggled a bit on the hills because the frame is made of carbon steel instead of aluminum. I like that it's UL Listed. The orange paint is pretty spiffy too. I like that it has the Logan Hydraulic brakes installed also. The brakes that the Romatlink Dolphin should have come with. It's a shame that you have to shell out your own dough for these bikes. These companies should send them out to you free in exchange for the bike review. I like how you put these bikes through "real world" conditions. I would like to see you review that Surnat 32ah ebike, I think it's called the S-10. It's similar to the Romatlink in battery size and is made from steel too. Victrip has the new version of the Titan S, it now comes with a 40ah battery instead of the 32ah. The Victrip is a clone of the Wildeway FW 11 4.0. Surprisingly, Wildeway doesn't sell the 4.0 anymore, just the 3.0 like you have. It would be nice to get an update on how well some of these ebikes have held up over time, at least the ones you still own. The ebike you reviewed today is priced good for having that big headlight and rear taillight, twin forks and rear suspension, hydraulic brakes, 20ah battery and UL Listed too. It should be decent off road too, just have to tighten up those handlebars. That was scary there at the end. It was a first and hopefully a last.😮 Thanks for the review Curt, always nice seeing your town and especially now with the 🍁🍂 fall foliage. Take care -----Steve.

@@StevefromOhio1972 Thanks for a wonderful comment as always. Lol I did tighten up the bolts just not enough clearly haha. Perhaps the bike could be unlocked not sure. And as far as bikes go I'm still a small growing KZbin channel once I get more subscribers more companies may reach out to me to test bikes. I found a cheap and easy brake upgrade (see my video) that could be used on the dolphin or other bikes that don't have hydraulic brakes. I will definitely look into more bikes always am. Thanks again
