That CDC shuttle cock style fly shown at the end almost looks like it has a tightly wrapped foam body? Also, unless the photo is deceiving, that is a white foamed FAB? Cheers,

What is the green net that everyone seams to use?
@gmckayak2 ай бұрын
Greys
@jimking7400Ай бұрын
The landing nets are provided by Grafham for example, with the boat hire along with the drogues. The aim is to try and prevent invasive shrimp and other species being brought to the water by individual anglers' own nets and drogues.

On a normal day boats are not allowed to come close to the bank. Was this rule changes for the competition?
@AirfloFishingFlyLines3 ай бұрын
The rule is at Rutland Water that boats are allowed close to the shore, aslong as they are 50m from the nearest bank angler - unless there are restrictions such as nature reserves etc that are mostly restricted within a buoyed off area.

Good enough lines really poor when you attach a poly leader the leader will hinge all over the place i just took the loops of and attached as normal works so much better.

Why can't you market a package of these all the same color ? I just want a package with 3 florescent orange 3/4" indicators. I do not want a three pack with only one of the 3 that I can see.
@Mark_Thompson_Author4 жыл бұрын
What NOBODY explains at all is that to RELEASE the cassette (to swap cassettes and lines) is this... AFTER releasing the spool from the cassette housing - you HAVE to take hold of the BLACK KNURLED centre spool with your fingers, and TURN IT anti-clockwise... the instruction to PRESS down with your palm is USELESS... Once you know this, this is a GREAT REEL. The black centre knurled part is screwed into the spool - it is threaded... WHY THIS IS NOT PUBLICISED ANYWHERE is beyond me. The Iain Barr video is POINTLESS ... Jeez....

I used your Airflo Six Sense 0.5in/second intermediate line this last weekend at Manzanita Lake in California. I caught the largest rainbow so far on still water using a damselfly nymph close to shore. Absolutely love your line and the way it suspends at the right level while giving great control. Thank you again for taking the time and doing the research in making a wonderful line for stillwater!

This spey casting is beginning to be more like golf... and I hate "GOFF". Hell, habitat design is starting to look easier! On the other hand, I learn better by simply watching without all the explanation. Thanks guys!

This video contradicts about 95% of the vids on KZbin, but this one is MUCH more valid and relevant because it deals with the shorter heads that we all use. Now to "unlearn" all the stuff I learned from all the 5 year old videos. I APPRECIATE ALL the kind casting videos on KZbin, but this one has caused a breathrough for me, so THANKYOU

Thanks for the tips on your videos. I built a 3wt Pieroway Renegade and put a 180gr Scout on it and it casts great. I'm still new to switch and spey casting, so these videos sure help with the different casting motions between a longer spey rod and a short head like these. Keep the videos coming!

From what I've seen most casting instructors do not properly explain upper body mechanics (hand and arm position) during the sweep and into the firing position portion of the cast. It's great to see it broken down and explained clearly here. I know from experience a lot can go wrong if mistakes are made during this part of the cast. Thanks Tom! This is great!
